8 Zone Summary
Apparently Apolo Ohno is more than just an ice skater, he also the founder and owner of 8 Zone. 8 Zone is a dietary supplement that “keeps all of its vital ingredients in your body 24 hours a day, during the zones in which your body best utilizes them.” The 8 Zone is comprised of the “8Zone Triangle.” The triangle consists of supplements to be taken in the morning, day, and night.
It is easy to be skeptical of fat burners endorsed by celebrities. They are frequently over-priced and over-hyped. Will 8 Zone be any different? Let’s take a closer look.
What’s in 8 Zone?
8 Zone consists of three different pills: the red zone (morning), white zone (day), and blue zone (night).
Red Zone:
The red zone was created to provide weight loss, energy, and mental focus. The red zone is comprised of many vitamins and a proprietary blend. Vitamins are great at promoting overall health but are often times lacking in their ability to help achieve weight loss.
The proprietary blend of Red Zone contains most of the ingredients found in the average fat burner. There is nothing new or revolutionary. It does contain green tea and bitter orange. Green tea is a do-everything weight loss ingredient but is found in most fat burners and so it doesn’t set 8 Zone apart from the competition by any means. Bitter orange is a new powerful fat burner. Because the quantities of ingredients are hidden in a proprietary blend, we are unable to discern if there is sufficient bitter orange in 8 Zone to make a real difference.
White Zone
The White Zone was made to “replenish the body.” It appears the focus of the white zone is health. The majority of the substance in the White Zone comes from two blends: green tea triple blend and replenishment blend.
Not all green tea is the same, some blends are better than others. The difference in quality can be explained by the amount of EGCG’s in the tea. The more, the better. The White Zone’s green tea contains 45 percent EGCG’s. This is around the industry standard. Not the best, but not the worst either.
The replenishment blend is full of anti-oxidants and vegetables. These are great for overall health but are not likely to make a big difference at the scale.
The Blue Zone
The Blue Zone was made for full rest and recovery. As far as weight loss is concerned, there isn’t much in the Blue Zone. Like the white zone it contains many health promoting ingredients.
Insomniacs will be happy to learn that valerian root is included in the proprietary blend. Valerian root helps induces sleep and relaxation.

A month supply of 8 Zone can be purchased at their store for $149.99. This is ridiculously expensive when compared with other weight loss supplements.
8 Zone Verdict
The 8 Zone is an average supplement that is extremely overpriced. It contains a few quality ingredients but not nearly enough to justify it’s hefty price tag.
