Adipex Review

Do I recommend Adipex?

NO! I get THOUSANDS of emails from consumers (and manufacturers) asking me if I have ever written a positive review for a fat burner. The truth is not many fat burners are very good.

I recommend Adapexin. It contains Clinically Proven ingredients as is backed by a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Burn Fat or Your Money Back! You can read our Adapexin Review or you can order Adapexin from their Secure Server by visiting their Official Website Here!

adipex.jpgAdipex – Is it the Best Fat Burner?

Adipex is a prescription diet pill that is basically a stimulant similar to the amphetamines.  It is also known generically as Phentermine.  It works mainly as an appetite suppressant but may have some unpleasant side effects.

Adipex Ingredients

The active ingredient here is phentermine hydrochloride, otherwise known as dimethylphenylethylamine.  This is a powerful controlled substance which his known to work effectively to suppress appetite but also to cause some adverse side effects in some cases.  As some of the side effects may interfere with an exercise program, it is doubtful as to whether this is really a safe and healthy way to lose weight.

Adipex Side Effects

Possible side effects can include increased blood pressure and heart rate, chest pain, or unusual thoughts or behavior.  An overdose of Adipex could be fatal and it should not be taken with any other medications without your doctor’s approval.

  • Common, less-serious side-effects include.
  • Headache, dizziness, tremors
  • Trouble sleeping (insomnia)
  • Dry mouth or an unpleasant taste in your mouth;
  • Diarrhea or constipation

Adipex Conclusion

This is not a product to be taken lightly, but given its power and unsafe nature when combined with the pre-existing diet and exercise program of a person serious about losing weight, it doesn’t seem to be the ideal way to lose weight.  It is prescription and costly and unless recommended by your doctor given an extreme circumstance, I would suggest you hold off on trying Adipex.

Adipex really does work and its almost scary b/c it works so good. I lost 10 lbs in 4 days.. But there is a serious down fall to this diet pill Adipex b/c after taking it for less then one week I notice that I am not able to work out with out feeling as if I am going to pass out, my vision goes to a blur. Not a good feeling at all. After today I am done with Adipex at least with taking them every single day. I have reached my weight loss goal with the adipex so now its time for me to give them a SERIOUS rest. These things are dangerous while getting job done.

Jim-
Your saying that you lost 280 LBS. in 3 months then another 90 LBS. in 1 week? I’m having a very hard time believing that it would be any where near possible or safe…Did I understand the correct weight loss & time frame??

yes adipex really does work but only cus its a step down from methamphetamine. i used it for 2 days to see what it did and i sped my ass off. i have a high metabolism as it is and that stuff made me lose 5 lbs in 1 night. adipex really does work but its argueably the worst way to lose weight, next to not eating at all.

ty for your time just wanted to throw my experience in there

Hi just wanted to let you know that when your taking adipex you have to remember to eat. A lot of times you don’t feel like eating or you forget to eat b/c your not hungry. The feeling your getting is probably from not eating or not eating enough

Tish.

My 26 year old daughter had 2 beers and 2 shots of rupplemints alcohol at midnights, got up the next morning at 7;00 a.m, took her adipex, and started to drive to work. she was pulled over and charged with DUI. She was so messed up. I don’t know what the interaction was, but evidently the apidex made her appear drunk. According to her physician, her 4 alcoholic drinks shold have metabolized in 4 hours, but it took more like 24 hours after adding the adipex on top of it. So, beware, if you take this medication, DO NOT DRINK ALCOHOL. She had to learn the hard way.

Reply

Libbie April 17, 2011 at 3:44 pm

The reason why her body did not metabolize the alcohol, is because her metabolic rate has slowed down. This is a clear sign that she should remember to eat small meals through out the day. Adipex will convince you are not hungry, if an reasonable amount of calories are not taken in your metabolism will slow down. So. when u are not keeping your metabolism under control when you come off of the adipex anything you eat will take twice as long to burn off than it did before.

I just started taking Adipex today. It does give you a rush. My Doctor is monitoring me and I do have a more rapid heartbeat. I will continue on and take them for the next month until I go back to the doctor. I think. I do fell better after I eat though. I was told by my Dr to eat healthy snacks every 2 hours. We will see how it goes.

I started on Adipex and in the beginning I felt like Superman during my morning cardio …. but I tell you what …. without it I am sluggish and completely not motivated and HUNGRY ALL DAY LONG !!!! It clearly does not have the full effects that it did in the beginning …. but I think that in low dosages it is something that you can do for awhile ….. and find much success …..

I’ve been taking Adipex a couple of weeks now. It’s the only product that has worked for me thus far. I’ve lost around 18 lbs. I don’t exercise the way the doctor told me too because of my schedule so with the added exercise, I would think they would work even better.

My only side effects from the medicine is dry mouth, my throat feels slightly smaller because I can’t swallow my food as easily as before. Sounds silly but true.
Also, I have blurred vision sometimes, headache occasionally and slight depression but nothing overwhelming. I believe the dizziness can be from not eating. My doctor recommended eating 5 times a day.
Cereal for breakfast -wholesome cereal with low fat or skim milk.
Snack- Fruit or Vegetables cut up/no salt/no dressing unless brushed on lightly.
Sandwich Lunch- Whole wheat or Rye with Deli sliced chicken or turkey.
Snack-Fruit or Veggie (Remember fruit has more natural sugar)
Sensible Supper-Chicken/Fish/Turkey/ Skin chicken or turkey, salmon is good plus green vegetables, brown noodles or wheat noodles. Can eat red meat but get lean meat.
Eat mostly wheat or brown pastas, breads, crackers and can eat almonds throughout the day…a few.

Stay away from – Potatoes (can have one spoon of them in any fashion) stay away from corn (I love corn…)
Stay away from most of the white foods like, white bread, crackers, pastas, sugar, cornbread, white flour/cornmeal. (Buy brown) Hamburger meat is bad, even if it says 97% fat free, it’s still almost complete fat.
When eating supper, make sure that your plate contains mostly green food and brown food. Meat must be a smaller portion and breads smaller but still brown (wheat or rye).

Drinks should be water throughout the day and skim milk.
I drink some tea and a coffee sometimes. I use them in moderation.
It all depends on how much weight you want to lose.

My advice is to not lose the weight too fast because it could cause a loose skin problem. We saw it on t.v. it’s sad. It can also cause stretch marks. So lose slowly and healthy.
My other advice is to not mix poisons. By that I mean, do not use any other substance with this pill unless you ask your doctor and even then, look up the side effects because some doctors are WRONG!
Other substances includes any other pills and alcohol of any kind. Not sure of Marijuana or smoking. It probably wouldn’t hurt as much as the pills and alcohol but I would ask my doctor before even taking Adipex especially if mixing it with anything.

Also you can take a half of one early in the day and the other half later, if at all. Sometimes a half of one will suffice. ~R

I took adipex one time as a recreational thing that a friend gave me because I take adderall for my ADD and enjoy the alertness it gives you. I was up for 3 days, didn’t eat for 3 days and at the end of day 2 I questioned myself like, when am I going to crash and how hard am I gonna crash! Damn! But I think in a lower dosage it might work in a controlled setting for me, but if you are an adderall taker, it is definitely the mack daddy of stimulants for sure. Adderall is used to treat obesity as well in small doses to suppress appetite. I am having a hard time deciding if I should just stick to my daily regimen of adderall even though adipex does kick the appetite in the ass a lot harder than the adderall. My suggestion to anyone thinking about taking these pills is: Be super cautious. DONT mix ANY meds, or if you do TALK TO A HCP. It seems like every bad thing I have heard about adipex is because they were combining another substance. Pay super close attention to your body and if you have any inkling at all that something doesn’t feel right just stop taking it and chalk it up as a loss in money for buying the damn things. HIGHLY addictive if you enjoy control, alertness and confidence. beware. they are the shit tho :-)

I’ve been on Adipex for a little over two months now.. I’ve lost a total of 30 lbs. It really does work. For the people who say that it makes you feel bad when you exercise, I do not agree. Atleast, that’s not what it does to me. It actually makes me have more energy than I usually do, therefore, I feel better when I work out! I definately recommend it for a person who is willing to combine exercise and a healthy diet. I would check on the high blood pressure though. Since I’ve been on it my blood pressure has sky rocketed, but I’ve recently been cut down to a half a pill a day. This has decreased my blood pressure to normal.

I have taken Adipex for several years with no side aeffects. I love it. It not only gives you energy but gives me a sense of well being and modivates me to stay active. That to me is better than the appetite control factor, which is also great.

a friend of mine started taking this two days ago i am monitoring her bp pulse and basic vitals for her because she is worried but what i want to know is her doctor gave this to her in a manilla envelope…
so this dr. lee from Cardington ohio is charging 70 dollars to see patients and then giving them three months of pills in an envelope …this seems wrong
in doing resurch myself i thought everyone should know that you are not supposed to take this for a long period of time, nor shoulcd you take without being in direct doctors care make sure you are haveing regular cheak ups and if you are getting dizzy talk to your dr they can adjust the dose and do things to help.

Reply

nicole January 2, 2011 at 9:20 pm

Just to clarify Dr. Lee perscribes 28 pills every 4 to 5 weeks and you have to weigh in every 4 to 5 weeks to get your next 28 pills. At your second and third appt. your blood pressure and weight are both checked and monitored closely. You can be on the pills for no more than 3 months and you have to be off the pills for 7 months before you can restart them. so no he doesn’t give u three months worth at one time, and you do get reqular check ups from Dr. Lee Thanks Very Much Nicole

INDYEMT52 March 24, 2011 at 10:29 pm

U don’t have to be off the pills for 7 months. I was off of them for one after the first three months and for those who get it without the prescription my doctor told me that you are really getting conned and it’s no real adipex. Also if u have energy drinks with it, that does not make you look high.

I now have gained the weight back due to depression and a back injury from work….My doctor will not write me a script for it, and says that it is dangerous. However, it was the only weight loss meds that I have taken that did not make me feel sick or crazy lol….Does anyone know how I could get it without a prescription or how??

Hi, I’ve been taking adipex for 8 days now. I love it! I lost 4lbs in 4 days, but have not weighed myself since. I’m being strictly monitored by my doctor, and have to turn in a food journal and activity journal at the end of 30 days. My question though is, I’m a bad couch potatoe that procrastinates terribly, I LOVED the adipex so much because it gave me tons of energy, and got me off my butt and I stayed moving all day long, without making me feel like I was tweaking, but after a week, I no longer have that feeling! I’d give up caffeine right around the time I started taking it, and today I’ve had two cups of coffee just to get me going! Any tips? Anyone else experience this? Should I take it with a B12 too or something, otherwise, I just feel like laying around all day!

I took adipex for 3 months and lost 50 pounds. But after you stop taking it your appitite returns and the weight to. But you have to commit to a life style change. continue to exercice and make healthy food choices and the weight you lost will stay off. I recently started again and have lost 15 pounds in 3 weeks.

I have been using adipex for almost two months. I have lost about 15 lbs. I have found the best way to use this product is to start taking half a pill in the morning then the other half mid day. That way I dont get that jittery feeling and working out is fine. I also dont take one everyday I usually just take it three or four times a week. On the days I dont take it I eat more , but I just eat healthy salads, tuna, baked all th ethings you are supposed to do anyway. I always do atleast 30 min to an hour of cardio. my weight loss is slower than others, but the weight i think will stay off. Also after you take adipex everyday for a month or two it stops working so like I said if you just take a half or just take a few times a week your body doesnt get used to it.

Hello, I have taken Adipex off and on for 3 months. I had great results the first month with a 15lb. weight loss however I did experience quite a few side effects. I generally too 1/2 a pill in the morning before breakfast and then the other 1/2 before lunch. The energy I had was amazing, it does last all day and then some! I never had a hunger until late in the evening.

The dry mouth for me was really bad but not near as bad as the insomnia. I would be able to go to sleep at my normal time which was around 11. At 3 a.m. I would be wide awake for no less than 2 hours sometimes I would be awake for 3 hours. I did experience some horrible dreams while on the drug. On weekends I would take a Tylenol PM just to be able to sleep through the night. Not good I know, crazy what we will do to lose those extra pounds.

Be careful when taking this medication and NEVER take it unless it has been prescribed by a physician!

My doctor just prescribed adipex (1/2 tab a day). I also take one time released Bontril a day. I lost 20 pounds on the Bontril but have hit a plateau. I don’t drink or do recreational drugs but I do take an energy vitamin that has ephedra in it. Does anyone have experience with this? I work a lot of hours and volunteer what’s left so I only get 1 or 2 work outs a week and I really need to loose weight for my health. Thanks for reading this far. Hope all of you find success and happiness.

hi i was taking adipex to symply make me feel better about myself. while on adipex i had no appitite which was wonderful i felt as tho i had more energy then over i took adipex for 3 months and lost over 70 pounds! however my dr requested that i awitch 3 months on adipex and 3 months off because it is very easy to get addicted to it. when i started adipex 6 months ago i weighed almost 300 pounds and now i am close to my goal of 150 pounds! and i feel wonderful, even tho i never took my drs advise and stood on it longer than 3 months i am not addicted and now i’m off of adipex and i am keeping my weight down. i would suggest adipex to only strong people that know that this drug wont consume them!!!

I don’t feel any side effects and I am not hungry so the I make myself eat healthy foods. I think it is a good idea for people with sugar addiction or low will power. Only use for 3 months…

I started taking Adipex last Thursday. It has only taken me 5 days and I’ve lost 6 pounds. This medication does give you lots of energy and you will lose weight quickly. The one major problem for me is sleep. It has kept me awake pretty much all night – even when I take tylenol pm or Mid-nite. I didn’t take an adipex today because I would like to sleep tonight but now I feel awful and sluggish. I guess we are all looking for the perfect pill to lose weight. I guess we have to take the good w/ the bad. Good luck to everyone trying to lose weight.

I am taking 1/2 pill daily in morning and only mon through sat without anything on sun. i notice i don’t get jittery if i do it this way. i hope this helps!

I started taking adipex on Monday…and have lost one pound each day so far…i can’t believe it…I am in disbelief when I look at the # on the scale. This is my first time taking a diet pill…..I am having crazy side effects which honestly are scaring me…..my heart is continually beating the insomnia is out of control I have litterally been awake since Monday morning….and I am having very vivid / angry thoughts in the morning. Today I took 1/2 a pill…thinking that this might be safer…after reading several posts it seems that several people are doing this. I hope I see a difference…particularly in my sleep.
It has been impossible for me to loose weight the last 6 years….i’m hoping this is the jumpstart that I need to get me to my goal. Looking forward to weighing myself at the end of next week.. Good Luck Everyone…and be mindful of what you do.

I also lost 20 lbs in just a couple of months. I’m a fifty something house wife and was about 40 lbs away from my ideal weight. I couldn’t sleep and had to drink at least 3 bottles of water after taking my morning dose. I had lots of energy but noticed my joints hurt much more during the time I took it. I also had a strange sensation in my teeth and had perfact teeth but since taking the drug had one perfactly healthy front tooth die and now have a root canel. Has anyone else had dental problems? I think the company should know. Thanks, Cee Cee

You realize how ridiculous what you just said is right? I mean, I took adderall quite a bit in college to study for finals but taking something like this on a regular basis is not that safe. Especially, if it is that addictive. I would suggest something else.

First of all taking any kind of medication, you should not drink. And second maybe before ur daughter started taking adipex, she could do 2 beers and 2 shots and have no reaction. Remember weight also plays apart in drinking.

I’ve only been taking Adipex for a month now, as prescribed by my physician, and I have lost near 35 pounds. The first week and a half, I lost about 18ish or so. Then for a week it just hovered, then started losing again. I was seeing anywhere from 1-3 pounds a night just disappear. I didn’t eat a whole lot, and would often have to remind myself to actually eat. I loved seeing the weight fly off, but I did have some pretty annoying side affects I still have to talk to my doctor about. I am having horrible insomnia, pretty bad dry mouth, my acid reflex increased (I already had a problem with it, but since taking Adipex it seemed to get worse), and today I counted 13 bruises on my body… none of which that I can actually explain where they came from. Yes, there are a ton of side affects, and I’m not sure if it outweighs the great feeling of finally being able to lose the weight.

I started taking adipex in sept 08. the first week i lost 11 lbs. my diet was a good breakfast and lean cuisine for lunch and dinner. i worked out twice a day also. that was too much weight loss for me in 6 days. i was having this discomfort “hungry knot” in my stomach and insomnia. i went to the doctor and he felt some distention in my abs in the liver area. had a xray done and lab work to check my liver function. thank God everything was normal. he told me to stop taking them because i didn’t need them. i weighed 167 lbs 5’4″ and i only wanted to lose 20lbs. i took a week off of them and took the 4 times a week. i lost 18lbs and went from a 12 to an 8. i did not have the stomach discomfort but still have trouble sleeping(i’m still awake and it’s 1:44 AM). i’m in the military so weight maintance is important. i still take them off and on for that energy boost.

i have a physical fitness test this weekend and i’m taking them everyday this week and in three days i’ve lost 5lbs. saturday will be my last dose for a while i’ll be going back to the old way….exercise and rabbit food.
