Adipex Review

Do I recommend Adipex?

NO! I get THOUSANDS of emails from consumers (and manufacturers) asking me if I have ever written a positive review for a fat burner. The truth is not many fat burners are very good.

I recommend Adapexin. It contains Clinically Proven ingredients as is backed by a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Burn Fat or Your Money Back! You can read our Adapexin Review or you can order Adapexin from their Secure Server by visiting their Official Website Here!

adipex.jpgAdipex – Is it the Best Fat Burner?

Adipex is a prescription diet pill that is basically a stimulant similar to the amphetamines.  It is also known generically as Phentermine.  It works mainly as an appetite suppressant but may have some unpleasant side effects.

Adipex Ingredients

The active ingredient here is phentermine hydrochloride, otherwise known as dimethylphenylethylamine.  This is a powerful controlled substance which his known to work effectively to suppress appetite but also to cause some adverse side effects in some cases.  As some of the side effects may interfere with an exercise program, it is doubtful as to whether this is really a safe and healthy way to lose weight.

Adipex Side Effects

Possible side effects can include increased blood pressure and heart rate, chest pain, or unusual thoughts or behavior.  An overdose of Adipex could be fatal and it should not be taken with any other medications without your doctor’s approval.

  • Common, less-serious side-effects include.
  • Headache, dizziness, tremors
  • Trouble sleeping (insomnia)
  • Dry mouth or an unpleasant taste in your mouth;
  • Diarrhea or constipation

Adipex Conclusion

This is not a product to be taken lightly, but given its power and unsafe nature when combined with the pre-existing diet and exercise program of a person serious about losing weight, it doesn’t seem to be the ideal way to lose weight.  It is prescription and costly and unless recommended by your doctor given an extreme circumstance, I would suggest you hold off on trying Adipex.

Hi, My name is Mike Miller and I work in a hi stressed job and rarily have time to work out or eat right. But i used Fenphedra for 1 month and lost 35 lbs dropping from 280 to 245. I just wanted to put this information out there and let people know that this product really does work. Thanks and god luck to all ya’ll out there that are striving to lose the weight.

  • JoAnna Marie

Hi I just wanted to ask Mike Miller if he is telling the truth because Im about to switch from an Adipex user to trying the product he spoke about – Fenfedra…

  • Jim Yohow

Hi mike i used this stuff and i loss 280 in 3 months ,it was like crazy.
But know i feel so good , last week i loss 90 more.

  • http://donthaveone Jane Smith

Adipex really does work and its almost scary b/c it works so good. I lost 10 lbs in 4 days.. But there is a serious down fall to this diet pill Adipex b/c after taking it for less then one week I notice that I am not able to work out with out feeling as if I am going to pass out, my vision goes to a blur. Not a good feeling at all. After today I am done with Adipex at least with taking them every single day. I have reached my weight loss goal with the adipex so now its time for me to give them a SERIOUS rest. These things are dangerous while getting job done.

  • Tasha

    Jim-
Your saying that you lost 280 LBS. in 3 months then another 90 LBS. in 1 week? I’m having a very hard time believing that it would be any where near possible or safe…Did I understand the correct weight loss & time frame??

  • stacy

hi, my name is stacy adipex is the best choice to loose weight. i lost 57 pounds in 30 days.

  • matt

yes adipex really does work but only cus its a step down from methamphetamine. i used it for 2 days to see what it did and i sped my ass off. i have a high metabolism as it is and that stuff made me lose 5 lbs in 1 night. adipex really does work but its argueably the worst way to lose weight, next to not eating at all.

ty for your time just wanted to throw my experience in there

  • http://ADIPEX TISH

Hi just wanted to let you know that when your taking adipex you have to remember to eat. A lot of times you don’t feel like eating or you forget to eat b/c your not hungry. The feeling your getting is probably from not eating or not eating enough

    Tish.

  • nikki

I jus statrted taking Adipex I’m reading all you guys experiences. I will jus have to see what happen next. Also I see some of you have experience with fenphedra is losing weight that fast healthy at all?

  • Shelly

My 26 year old daughter had 2 beers and 2 shots of rupplemints alcohol at midnights, got up the next morning at 7;00 a.m, took her adipex, and started to drive to work. she was pulled over and charged with DUI. She was so messed up. I don’t know what the interaction was, but evidently the apidex made her appear drunk. According to her physician, her 4 alcoholic drinks shold have metabolized in 4 hours, but it took more like 24 hours after adding the adipex on top of it. So, beware, if you take this medication, DO NOT DRINK ALCOHOL. She had to learn the hard way.

  • Darla35

I just started taking Adipex today. It does give you a rush. My Doctor is monitoring me and I do have a more rapid heartbeat. I will continue on and take them for the next month until I go back to the doctor. I think. I do fell better after I eat though. I was told by my Dr to eat healthy snacks every 2 hours. We will see how it goes.

  • Ogunz

I started on Adipex and in the beginning I felt like Superman during my morning cardio …. but I tell you what …. without it I am sluggish and completely not motivated and HUNGRY ALL DAY LONG !!!! It clearly does not have the full effects that it did in the beginning …. but I think that in low dosages it is something that you can do for awhile ….. and find much success …..

  • Robin Michelle

I’ve been taking Adipex a couple of weeks now. It’s the only product that has worked for me thus far. I’ve lost around 18 lbs. I don’t exercise the way the doctor told me too because of my schedule so with the added exercise, I would think they would work even better.

My only side effects from the medicine is dry mouth, my throat feels slightly smaller because I can’t swallow my food as easily as before. Sounds silly but true.
Also, I have blurred vision sometimes, headache occasionally and slight depression but nothing overwhelming. I believe the dizziness can be from not eating. My doctor recommended eating 5 times a day.
Cereal for breakfast -wholesome cereal with low fat or skim milk.
Snack- Fruit or Vegetables cut up/no salt/no dressing unless brushed on lightly.
Sandwich Lunch- Whole wheat or Rye with Deli sliced chicken or turkey.
Snack-Fruit or Veggie (Remember fruit has more natural sugar)
Sensible Supper-Chicken/Fish/Turkey/ Skin chicken or turkey, salmon is good plus green vegetables, brown noodles or wheat noodles. Can eat red meat but get lean meat.
Eat mostly wheat or brown pastas, breads, crackers and can eat almonds throughout the day…a few.

Stay away from – Potatoes (can have one spoon of them in any fashion) stay away from corn (I love corn…)
Stay away from most of the white foods like, white bread, crackers, pastas, sugar, cornbread, white flour/cornmeal. (Buy brown) Hamburger meat is bad, even if it says 97% fat free, it’s still almost complete fat.
When eating supper, make sure that your plate contains mostly green food and brown food. Meat must be a smaller portion and breads smaller but still brown (wheat or rye).

Drinks should be water throughout the day and skim milk.
I drink some tea and a coffee sometimes. I use them in moderation.
It all depends on how much weight you want to lose.

My advice is to not lose the weight too fast because it could cause a loose skin problem. We saw it on t.v. it’s sad. It can also cause stretch marks. So lose slowly and healthy.
My other advice is to not mix poisons. By that I mean, do not use any other substance with this pill unless you ask your doctor and even then, look up the side effects because some doctors are WRONG!
Other substances includes any other pills and alcohol of any kind. Not sure of Marijuana or smoking. It probably wouldn’t hurt as much as the pills and alcohol but I would ask my doctor before even taking Adipex especially if mixing it with anything.

Also you can take a half of one early in the day and the other half later, if at all. Sometimes a half of one will suffice. ~R

  • NurseJess

I took adipex one time as a recreational thing that a friend gave me because I take adderall for my ADD and enjoy the alertness it gives you. I was up for 3 days, didn’t eat for 3 days and at the end of day 2 I questioned myself like, when am I going to crash and how hard am I gonna crash! Damn! But I think in a lower dosage it might work in a controlled setting for me, but if you are an adderall taker, it is definitely the mack daddy of stimulants for sure. Adderall is used to treat obesity as well in small doses to suppress appetite. I am having a hard time deciding if I should just stick to my daily regimen of adderall even though adipex does kick the appetite in the ass a lot harder than the adderall. My suggestion to anyone thinking about taking these pills is: Be super cautious. DONT mix ANY meds, or if you do TALK TO A HCP. It seems like every bad thing I have heard about adipex is because they were combining another substance. Pay super close attention to your body and if you have any inkling at all that something doesn’t feel right just stop taking it and chalk it up as a loss in money for buying the damn things. HIGHLY addictive if you enjoy control, alertness and confidence. beware. they are the shit tho :-)

  • NurseJess

if you did, you must have started off weighing 800lbs for real.

  • Jake Ward

I’ve been on Adipex for a little over two months now.. I’ve lost a total of 30 lbs. It really does work. For the people who say that it makes you feel bad when you exercise, I do not agree. Atleast, that’s not what it does to me. It actually makes me have more energy than I usually do, therefore, I feel better when I work out! I definately recommend it for a person who is willing to combine exercise and a healthy diet. I would check on the high blood pressure though. Since I’ve been on it my blood pressure has sky rocketed, but I’ve recently been cut down to a half a pill a day. This has decreased my blood pressure to normal.

  • Kathy Harris

I have taken Adipex for several years with no side aeffects. I love it. It not only gives you energy but gives me a sense of well being and modivates me to stay active. That to me is better than the appetite control factor, which is also great.

  • Katy

wow are you all serious with that weight loss i have been taking adipex for a while and was curious to find something with better numbers in weight loss. does this Fenphedra realy work?

  • diana

a friend of mine started taking this two days ago i am monitoring her bp pulse and basic vitals for her because she is worried but what i want to know is her doctor gave this to her in a manilla envelope…
so this dr. lee from Cardington ohio is charging 70 dollars to see patients and then giving them three months of pills in an envelope …this seems wrong
in doing resurch myself i thought everyone should know that you are not supposed to take this for a long period of time, nor shoulcd you take without being in direct doctors care make sure you are haveing regular cheak ups and if you are getting dizzy talk to your dr they can adjust the dose and do things to help.

  • http://fatburner.net Leigh

I was on adipex for year on and off. After acheiving my weight loss goals My doctor took me off of them. I now have gained the weight back due to depression and a back injury from work….My doctor will not write me a script for it, and says that it is dangerous. However, it was the only weight loss meds that I have taken that did not make me feel sick or crazy lol….Does anyone know how I could get it without a prescription or how??

  • Chera

Hi, I’ve been taking adipex for 8 days now. I love it! I lost 4lbs in 4 days, but have not weighed myself since. I’m being strictly monitored by my doctor, and have to turn in a food journal and activity journal at the end of 30 days. My question though is, I’m a bad couch potatoe that procrastinates terribly, I LOVED the adipex so much because it gave me tons of energy, and got me off my butt and I stayed moving all day long, without making me feel like I was tweaking, but after a week, I no longer have that feeling! I’d give up caffeine right around the time I started taking it, and today I’ve had two cups of coffee just to get me going! Any tips? Anyone else experience this? Should I take it with a B12 too or something, otherwise, I just feel like laying around all day!

  • Lyndsey

I am trying to buy adipex online does anyone know a good site to buy it from. a legit one. thank ya

  • Missy

I seriously doubt it ….he is probably getting his free for saying that….no way he could loose 34 lbs on that….you have to exercise and just about starve to loose 34 lbs in 1 month…healthy weight loss is 1 1/2 lbs a week

  • http://dietz2243@yahoo.com Missy

I was trying to understand that one also…LMAO

  • beliver33

I took adipex for 3 months and lost 50 pounds. But after you stop taking it your appitite returns and the weight to. But you have to commit to a life style change. continue to exercice and make healthy food choices and the weight you lost will stay off. I recently started again and have lost 15 pounds in 3 weeks.

  • Geanie

I have been using adipex for almost two months. I have lost about 15 lbs. I have found the best way to use this product is to start taking half a pill in the morning then the other half mid day. That way I dont get that jittery feeling and working out is fine. I also dont take one everyday I usually just take it three or four times a week. On the days I dont take it I eat more , but I just eat healthy salads, tuna, baked all th ethings you are supposed to do anyway. I always do atleast 30 min to an hour of cardio. my weight loss is slower than others, but the weight i think will stay off. Also after you take adipex everyday for a month or two it stops working so like I said if you just take a half or just take a few times a week your body doesnt get used to it.

Hello, I have taken Adipex off and on for 3 months. I had great results the first month with a 15lb. weight loss however I did experience quite a few side effects. I generally too 1/2 a pill in the morning before breakfast and then the other 1/2 before lunch. The energy I had was amazing, it does last all day and then some! I never had a hunger until late in the evening.

The dry mouth for me was really bad but not near as bad as the insomnia. I would be able to go to sleep at my normal time which was around 11. At 3 a.m. I would be wide awake for no less than 2 hours sometimes I would be awake for 3 hours. I did experience some horrible dreams while on the drug. On weekends I would take a Tylenol PM just to be able to sleep through the night. Not good I know, crazy what we will do to lose those extra pounds.

Be careful when taking this medication and NEVER take it unless it has been prescribed by a physician!

  • Kathy

Have you tried taking half of a pill instead. Most doctors prescribe 1/2 instead of a whole.

  • Amanda Ajax

My doctor just prescribed adipex (1/2 tab a day). I also take one time released Bontril a day. I lost 20 pounds on the Bontril but have hit a plateau. I don’t drink or do recreational drugs but I do take an energy vitamin that has ephedra in it. Does anyone have experience with this? I work a lot of hours and volunteer what’s left so I only get 1 or 2 work outs a week and I really need to loose weight for my health. Thanks for reading this far. Hope all of you find success and happiness.
    Amanda (aka Nukegirl)

hi i was taking adipex to symply make me feel better about myself. while on adipex i had no appitite which was wonderful i felt as tho i had more energy then over i took adipex for 3 months and lost over 70 pounds! however my dr requested that i awitch 3 months on adipex and 3 months off because it is very easy to get addicted to it. when i started adipex 6 months ago i weighed almost 300 pounds and now i am close to my goal of 150 pounds! and i feel wonderful, even tho i never took my drs advise and stood on it longer than 3 months i am not addicted and now i’m off of adipex and i am keeping my weight down. i would suggest adipex to only strong people that know that this drug wont consume them!!!

  • http://fatburner.net keshia adams

I have been taking Adipex for only 3 days and i have some ups and downs about the drug. I love that it gives me energy but i dont like how i have to force myself to eat. i am never hungry and when i do eat i can only eat a couple of bites and i feel so full. i have no problem sleeping. i have already lost 6 pounds, but i dont know if that is healthy… i am just scared that when i stop taking the pill i will gain all of my wieght back..

  • http://fatburner.net keshia adams

i just wanted to add that i am a smoker and i have noticed that before i started taken adipex i smoked a whole pack a day and now i only smoke about 7 cigs a day…

  • http://edfsthdh Christi

I have used Phentermine hcl in the past and lost 44 lbs in 3 months. I just started taking it again 5 yrs later, ( i did keep 25 of those pounds off) and I have lost 9 pounds in 2 weeks. I don’t feel any side effects and I am not hungry so the I make myself eat healthy foods. I think it is a good idea for people with sugar addiction or low will power. Only use for 3 months…

  • Tammy

I started taking Adipex last Thursday. It has only taken me 5 days and I’ve lost 6 pounds. This medication does give you lots of energy and you will lose weight quickly. The one major problem for me is sleep. It has kept me awake pretty much all night – even when I take tylenol pm or Mid-nite. I didn’t take an adipex today because I would like to sleep tonight but now I feel awful and sluggish. I guess we are all looking for the perfect pill to lose weight. I guess we have to take the good w/ the bad. Good luck to everyone trying to lose weight.

  • nancy

hello, im finishing my 2nd month of adipex.. i lost 14lbs the first month. it just fell off then going into the 2nd, im only down like 4lbs. i think i lost alot the first month is the reasoning, idk. i work out twice a week if possible and do watch what i eat so i know it isn’t anything I am doing wrong. I am taking 1/2 pill daily in morning and only mon through sat without anything on sun. i notice i don’t get jittery if i do it this way. i hope this helps!

  • Lia

I started taking adipex on Monday…and have lost one pound each day so far…i can’t believe it…I am in disbelief when I look at the # on the scale. This is my first time taking a diet pill…..I am having crazy side effects which honestly are scaring me…..my heart is continually beating the insomnia is out of control I have litterally been awake since Monday morning….and I am having very vivid / angry thoughts in the morning. Today I took 1/2 a pill…thinking that this might be safer…after reading several posts it seems that several people are doing this. I hope I see a difference…particularly in my sleep.
It has been impossible for me to loose weight the last 6 years….i’m hoping this is the jumpstart that I need to get me to my goal. Looking forward to weighing myself at the end of next week.. Good Luck Everyone…and be mindful of what you do.

  • C. Terrill

I also lost 20 lbs in just a couple of months. I’m a fifty something house wife and was about 40 lbs away from my ideal weight. I couldn’t sleep and had to drink at least 3 bottles of water after taking my morning dose. I had lots of energy but noticed my joints hurt much more during the time I took it. I also had a strange sensation in my teeth and had perfact teeth but since taking the drug had one perfactly healthy front tooth die and now have a root canel. Has anyone else had dental problems? I think the company should know. Thanks, Cee Cee

  • Stacey Kinkle

You realize how ridiculous what you just said is right? I mean, I took adderall quite a bit in college to study for finals but taking something like this on a regular basis is not that safe. Especially, if it is that addictive. I would suggest something else.

  • yvette

can you buy adipex at a health store (example GNC)

  • LaTasha

    Hi Stacy

Where did u get ur Adipex from???

  • http://aol.com Andi

First of all taking any kind of medication, you should not drink. And second maybe before ur daughter started taking adipex, she could do 2 beers and 2 shots and have no reaction. Remember weight also plays apart in drinking.

  • Noah

I’ve only been taking Adipex for a month now, as prescribed by my physician, and I have lost near 35 pounds. The first week and a half, I lost about 18ish or so. Then for a week it just hovered, then started losing again. I was seeing anywhere from 1-3 pounds a night just disappear. I didn’t eat a whole lot, and would often have to remind myself to actually eat. I loved seeing the weight fly off, but I did have some pretty annoying side affects I still have to talk to my doctor about. I am having horrible insomnia, pretty bad dry mouth, my acid reflex increased (I already had a problem with it, but since taking Adipex it seemed to get worse), and today I counted 13 bruises on my body… none of which that I can actually explain where they came from. Yes, there are a ton of side affects, and I’m not sure if it outweighs the great feeling of finally being able to lose the weight.

  • vanita

man this drug is crazy i thought i was losing my freakin mind i was snapping out counldt sleep, didnt eat i wingeed myself off then i started taking a half a pill every other day. but i did shed about 10 lbs in 5 days but damn i was going crazy losing it. good look please be careful

  • Tina

I started taking adipex in sept 08. the first week i lost 11 lbs. my diet was a good breakfast and lean cuisine for lunch and dinner. i worked out twice a day also. that was too much weight loss for me in 6 days. i was having this discomfort “hungry knot” in my stomach and insomnia. i went to the doctor and he felt some distention in my abs in the liver area. had a xray done and lab work to check my liver function. thank God everything was normal. he told me to stop taking them because i didn’t need them. i weighed 167 lbs 5’4″ and i only wanted to lose 20lbs. i took a week off of them and took the 4 times a week. i lost 18lbs and went from a 12 to an 8. i did not have the stomach discomfort but still have trouble sleeping(i’m still awake and it’s 1:44 AM). i’m in the military so weight maintance is important. i still take them off and on for that energy boost.

i have a physical fitness test this weekend and i’m taking them everyday this week and in three days i’ve lost 5lbs. saturday will be my last dose for a while i’ll be going back to the old way….exercise and rabbit food.

Wow! I have used adipex and same here, I dropped a lot of weight and would even find myself not eating or drinking for days. I even had a few times where I would be fully aware of everything around me but my vision would go black for a few minutes. tonight my sister told me about phentermine and how she lost weight and was happy with the results, so i got on the web site and just seen the comments.
I am going to talk to my doctor about the phentermine for myself.

  • brandy

I had a baby 11 months ago. I gained 60 lbs and it has been a struggle to get the weight off. I went to the doctor last week for stomach pains and found out that i need a hysterectomy. I would like to be closer to my ideal weight before surgery. I am on hydrocodone. Is it dangerous to mix Adipex with the hydrocodone?

  • d

adipex(phentermine) does work…but when you quit, you are likely to gain it back and it is habit forming

  • elizabeth frost

Is this the equivalent to adipex? Thank you.

To all of you who are Interested in buying or trying the diet Pill Apidex (Phentermine), PLEASE READ THE LABEL, how to take. PLEASE LOOK AT THE SPELLING, all different. The real Phentermine when ordering on line without a Doctor’s perscription will NOT be the real deal. Most of the company’s who advertise this drug are not being honest about the description. If it requires you to take it twice a day it is not the real “Apidex/Pnentermine”. With the real pill it is only required to be taken once a day and if a dose is missed, Do Not Take!! I know this because I purchsed this product before and it really does work, if it’s the Real Pill. The others are cut with all kinds of stuff, and /side effects/symtoms of the normal Nervousness, Moodyness, Heart Palpatations, etc., IS ALL WORSE BY THE OTHER FAKE BRAND SOLD. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY, AND WATCH FOR THE LOW COST. I was once told by a sales rep. that the drug was the same, that is NOT true. With a Docotor’s Perscription “BONTRIL” is also Great for losing weight, but you will need a Medical Doctor’s name on-line. If you know a site where I can get the real Apidex at a low cost Please Inform me. Prices are usually $149 and up. Best of Luck to you all!!

  • Kelly Gregory

I have been onm the adipex for over a year. The only side effects I have had was dry mouth. I lost 14.8 pounds in a month. I recommend this pill. My mom and 8 of my friends are on it as well. none of use have any side effects other then dry mouth. I would suggest starting on a weekend so that by Monday it is in your system. I was light headed the 1st time I took it but that was it. total in a year I lost 60 pounds. I follow a 1500 calorie diet and eat no more then 44 grams of fat a day. I workout, mainly walk, 30 minutes every other day. I have 3 kids and it has made a huge difference in my energy and in my life.. I highly recommend it.. I am monitored monthly by my doctor. I just wanted to let you know it worked for me!!

  • Kelly Gregory

You go girl!! I know what you mean about energy!! I am glad you are doing so good!! I was at 280 about 3 years ago..I lost some weight but the extra 60 pounds I could not lose. The adipex helped lose that. Now I am trimming up and gee does it make a difference. I went from a size 26 to a size 10. • ANGIE

CAN ANYONE TELL ME OF ANY BAD SIDE EFFECTS OR ANYTHING NEGATIVE THAT THEY MAY HAVE EXPERIENCED FROM TAKING ADIPEX. I’M ABOUT TO BEGIN TAKING IT IN ABOUT A WEEK?

  • ANGIE

I HAVE NOT PERSONALLY TAKEN ADIPEX…..YET. BUT I HAVE BEEN DOING A LITTLE RESEARCH BEFORE HAND AND FROM WHAT I HAVE READ, IT IS VERY DANGEROUS TO MIX IT WITH ANYTHING, EVEN HERBAL REMEDIES.

  • steph

I have been taking Apidex for 2 months now. I have lost 35 lbs. For myself, the side effects only lasted less then a wk. It’s amazing but after awhile, this will not work. The key is to change your diet and work out while you are taking this. I don’t think I need the Apidex anymore, but I have two more refills and I’m just taking it because I’m on a roll. The pill is so tiny. Occasionally, you do get dry mouth but for any diet, it’s best to drink lots of water. I take something I purchased at GNC to help with constipation. I lost weight doing Nutri-System but after a month or so I felt like I could do it on my own. I went right back to my old eating habits. This time, the Apidex has given the kick start that I needed. I keep a food journal and keep track of my calories. Everyone knows what to do, but has to want it for themselves. I am on my way and have no doubt that I will reach my goal weight. I don’t think my Doctor would have prescribed the pills if they were bad for me. Diet pills have been around for yrs. I’m a fan of Apidex and have had no problems. I am not worried about gaining the weight back because exercise has become a part of my daily routine.

I’ve been taking Adipex / Phentermine since April 8, 2009 and I have lost 75 lbs. I’m soooo happy. I can even cross my legs. I weighed 258 lbs. You need to keep losing while on this . You nneed to keep losing om this , because if you don’t your doctor will take you off of it. If he doesn’t then he’s not a very good doctor. Adipex is actually used for depression. the studies say they don’t know why it helps lose weight, but lets face it, it’s a legal speeder through your ooctor. I feel like I’ve drank 2 pots of coffee. I can’t say anything on the sleeping cause I’m on morphine and other pain meds. Yes I get shakey, but it’s just likke you hadn’t eaten anything for awhile. I’m usually very happy on this med, but when my husband gets on my nerves I could just shoot him. I LOVE THIS STUFF.

  • Sara

I have used apidex and it really does work, but when you stop taking it you will gain the weight back. It’s like you will have to stay on it forever to keep the weight off. And after about 3 or 4 months it doesn’t even have the same effect.

  • Sandy

Don’t do it. It is very unsafe and can cause various heart problems. Once you stop using them you gain the weight back and then some. It is not worth it. Join a gym and get into a great exercise program. There is not quick fix. I am still struggling myself. I would rather be alive and healthy and over weight than suffering from heart problems or dead.

  • HusBan

i used adipex in the past and i dropped 40 pounds in 2 months. it basically helps you starve yourself. i did not gain the weight back when i stopped taking the pills, in fact i continued to eat healthy and excersie and i lost another 30 on my own. i recedntly had a baby and i seem to not be able to get these last 40 pounds off so i am about to order adipex again.

  • bren

I asked my doc if I could take apipex and his reply was “these pills are not good for the heart and I would much rather you eat less on your own. Adipex will cause the heart issues years from now.” Be careful when taking this pill.

  • luciana

hello DANA. i am interesting in the ADIPEX,and want to try it if you can help me with that

  • alice

I took a drug test by swabing my mouth, and it showed up positive for meth. The test only tested for meth. and pot. I showed the prescripton to my boss and he said ” This test only checks for meth. and pot not any kind of pills.” PLease tell me where or a web site where I can educate my boss.

  • jeni

  • Teresa

adipex is great i highly reccommend it. OTC diet aides really made me moody. Not so with adipex. however i was taking a small dosage lasix (water pill) that i did have a reaction to…..crusty blisteres (only on my arms) very painful….after reading up on adipex it is said to have this side effect also….i’m going to start taking the adipex again tomorrow…..hope it was just the lasix causing the rash…
Anybody else had any rashes related to adipex?

  • JEWELS

I want to try it. I really need to loose the weight I gained when the Dr. put me on steriods to get rid of pneumonia.

  • Justin

Apidex is not used for depression. Never has and never will be. It is an amphetamine that suppresses ones appetite. Apidex causes mood swings so that alone tells you it is not an anti-depressant. For those who want to take Apidex, the only way to get the real Apidex is from a doctor. It is a schedule IV drug. It is not only addicting but also needs close following from your doctor. All drugs react different in people. One drug may work for you while it doesn’t work for others. The only true way of knowing if this drug is right for you is by talking with your doctor and by trial and error (taking it).

  • Nelly Cohen

Adipex is controlled substance, DEA is monitoring every pill being written and dispensed. You cannot get it without a prescription. Of course you can probably buy it on the streets, but i think it it too dangerous.

  • Shany

I’ve been taking Adipex for 2 wks and have lost 10lbs. I love it…The first nite I took it, I was jittery, having palpations, and full of energy.i wrk nites and could not sleep the next morning but after the first nite i havn’t had any side effects other than loss of appetite, thats what u want. I have always been up and down in my weight, now i knw how to keep it off because i had joined the quick weight loss center but they became very expensive and i got bored with the food, i just need to get to my ideal weight so i can keep it off. The key to keeping the weight off is drinking at least 80 oz of water and walking only about 30 min 3 times a week. I highly recommend it and have a great Dr who would not my health in danger and i also monitor my BP and HR and they have both been within normal limits and actually my attitue has been great. I have that i don’t give a damn attitude i’m gettin my sexy back for the new year. lol

  • Millie Davis

I wen to my doctor today to see if he could prescribe me the Adipex and he went all mother teresa on me, saying how bad it is and what not….there are 2 girls that i work with that are on it and have lost weight really fast…i even told my doc i would sign a waiver so that if anything happened to me he would not be held responsible, but nada….i only want to lose 35lbs and have tried everything i.e. exercise, ww and JC and nada….now I did take Herbalife and lost 70lbs in less than 7mths but that was almost 10yrs ago when they made it with the Ephedra, now they have changed it so much that the actual pill TOTAL CONTROL , does not control anything and now almost 2yrs later i am desperate to loose these 30lbs,,,, so if anyone knows where i can get it here in ORL FL, from either a Doctor or store, please email me.

  • Christine

I lost over 100lbs on Adipex (Phentermine) but it caused me to have mood swings. One minute I was happy the next I was upset almost angry with everyone around me. My (now ex-husband) could always tell when I was taking it because of the mood changes. I had gotten to a point, although, that I would cut the pill in half and get the same affect without the mood. So try to cut the pill in half and drink alot of water.

  • Christine

You need to realize that Phentermine is the generic name for Adipex. It is all the same. Just different labels.

  • Christine

I agree with you on the habit forming, but as for regaining the weight. I lost 120lbs over 5 years ago from Adipex (Phentermine) and have only gained about 15lbs of it back. But I also quit smoking a little over a year ago and it was after I quit smoking that I gained the 15 lbs.

  • Christine

I was close to 300lbs after the birth of my second and last child. I had no energy and could not lose weight to save my life. I asked my doctor about it she gave me Adipex and with a little changing of the recommended dosage (I cut the pills in half) I lost over 100lbs within a year. I had energy, I lost the weight and it is now almost 7 years later and the only weight that I have gained since then was the 15-20 lbs that I gained last year after I quit smoking. I am almost 40 and as most women know losing weight at this age is not an easy task. So next week when I return to my doctor I will again be asking for a perscription to lose the 15 lbs that I have been unable to shed over the past year. But keep in mind I am a lazy woman and do not like to exercise. The end result is if you are determined to lose any weight anyone can do it if you put your mind and body to it 100%. Good luck.

  • Morgan

Adipex typically does not cause negative mood swings. It actually may cause a temporary sense of euphoria. At times you will not remember to eat and it will give you a severe case of dry mouth so be sure to continuously drink water (room temperature). You will not have the desire to eat, but this does not mean that you should refrain from eating. Yous till need to eat something even if that includes a banana or a cup of grapes. Either way it goes you will drastically lose weight. Be careful and I recommend that you test the product before continuing with your normal daily activities.

  • dawn

ive taken adipex-p several times since 1998 I lost between 20 and60 lbs i am currently 22lbs from my goal weight. thanks to adipex i had the energy and frame of mind to diet and exercise, i am currently off my blood pressure meds and am controlling my own #s on my sugar if taken not abused this drug can be a GODSEND

  • Tony

Oh please,,, I have no idea what you are talking about as far as being irritable.
I’m a guy and have fought being 30 lbs over weight all my life. Tries a million things. Wasted tons of money and time. Apidex and Phentermine (the generic form) works wonders for me.. Lost all 30 pretty quickly. Have kept it off for over 6 months now.
Look at least 10 years younger and feel so much better. I did very little exercise during that time since the weight was falling off so quickly. Love having all my old cloths fit again. This drug did NOT make me irritable at all. I had NO side affects at all other than some slight thirst. My weight came off so quickly that a week into it, I started taking only 1/2 a pill in the mornings with my 1 Vitamin after breakfast. Lasts all day and helped me change my eating habits.
I will allow myself some dessert every so often,, but my cravings for the BAD Stuff have really be curbed highly! It’s been amazing to be at an ideal weight for this long at the age 50. It really made a huge difference in my look. Ton’s of compliments on the weight loss. Best of luck everyone. I will say that my Ins. covered it a few times only because I did not realize that you had to loose 10% of your total weight each month to get them to cover it… at least with Blue Cross / Blue Shields.. I weighed 240 and that means I was suppose to lose 24 lbs in that month which I could have easily done.. I slowed it down and still lost 16 that month. I’ve gone from 240 down to 210 and for 6’2″ thats a decent weight. So,, at this time I am maintaining.

  • Cyndi

Dana, have you tried a weight loss clinic? There are several weight loss clinics in my area. You can just walk in. They take out the time to talk to you and recommend what they think best suits you. A visit is $35 and the Phentermine is $40. They also have Adipex for $70. They fill prescriptions in their office. I live in Memphis and there are several clinics, but MediPlan has been the best facility thus far.

    Hi,

I saw your post and I am in the same situation. Do you know of a safe site where I can purchase this? My doc says he won’t renew it either but yet I am 30 pounds overweight and feel miserable. Thanks

  • cindy

I have used Adipex for over a year now. The first four months I lost 80lbs. I kept losing a little more, I quit taking them and gained 30lbs back. So I am again taking them, I think they are woinderful! Thats just my opinion, Mine are prescribed by a Dr. too!

  • Tonya

Hi. I am a 28 year old housewife. I have 3 children. After I had my 3rd baby I was about 50lbs over weight. I had tried so many over the counter medicines and none of them worked. So I went out and got phentermine the generic for (adipex). It works wonderfully. I don’t exercise. I lost 60pounds in about 6 months. So far I have kept it off. I recommend it if you are really interested in losing weight. trust me IT WORKS!

  • lana hayes

i don’t believe that adipex causes mood swings…to me it is good. I can actually organize my thoughts and have an even more pleasurable mood than normal. It also surpresses your appetite.

  • M. Goodman

I asked my doctor about Adipex and she would not prescribe it to me. I have been trying so hard to lose weight and have had no results. How do you get a doctor to prescribe Adipex?

  • M. Goodman

I asked my doctor about Adipex and she would not prescribe it to me. I have been trying SO hard to lose weight but have had no success. How can I get a doctor to prescribe it?

  • Angie Tate

I took adipex for over a year. After several months of taking it, I noticed that I became very short tempered and irritable. I lost 45 lbs on it which was great but I did notice a real attitude change. I am now taking Bontril and I have been losing weight with no side effects. I would still take adipex to lose the weight…U will lose 25 lbs the first month that your on it…but I wouldnt take it again for as long as I initially did.

  • Lori

I use it in for 3 months and then go off of it for 3 months and I have never had any side effects. It is the only way I can lose weight as I have hypothyroidism or an under active thyroid. Believe me I have tried everything and it is he only thing that works. And it is not exensive, you can get a 30 day prescription at Krogers for under $10.00

  • Brandi

I took adipex for 3 mo and lost almost 30 lbs. The weight loss was great but the hemroids were murder!! I feel so much better and want to contiue my wieght loss on my own. I think its a great starter but diet and exercise a must!!

  • A very recent user

I have tried Adipex for 5 days between 1/1/10 and 4/1/10 after seeing its result one of my female friends experinced. She has been using it for about 4 months, I think lesser amount lately. Yes, her body transformed a lot and she credit it to Adipex alone. She wasn’t etremely overweight person but I would think she probably lost around 30-40 lbs. She said she never exercised either. Simply, she reduced her food consumption. As a result, I also wanted to get a quick result and asked her if she could have given me some. After weeks of begging her, I finally got 5 pills. I am in my early 40s, workout guy until two years ago, was in good shape but not a muscled dude or gym rat. I have gained 40 extra lb and I had no time for exercise until last week. I begun dieting and exercising thus losing 2 1/2lb in 5 days then begun using Adipex for the next 5 days. I lost another 2 1/2lb. Now, the difference I noticed was, I stopped eating. I don’t cook so I eat a lot of chips and cookies, instead. In the first couple of days, I got up in the morning and went on until 5 pm without food. Although I was at home, I did not desire to eat or even drink anything. Though, my many years of studying on nutrition and health issues, I realized it can be dangerous to follow such a path. Thus, the following 3 days, I decided to drink plenty of water and get multi vitamins, drink a glass or two skim milk besides consuming proteins from tuna and chicken and steam vegies as I did not want to lose any muscle size or have some healt issues. The best thing was something that I couldn’t avoid before. I always have had cookies with a few cups of coffee, peanut butter-jelly sandwiches at nights. I did not eat any junk food AT ALL and I had no desire.

My other positive observation was that I felt like I had flat abs and empty stomach although I did not feel hungry. When I exercised after such a long time of being away from it, I had tremendous energy, At one time, I thought, I was going to brake the cardio exercise machine at the gym because I was going at full speed that I have hardly done at my best shape.

The side effects of Adipex on me was, I am and have always been a very sexual guy, I couldn’t have erection at all even when I though I was in great mood for it regardless of how much I tried though I did still managed ejaculation. I could probably ignore it until I get into shape but after a couple days the worst side effect for me was, I am not sure if the pills worth for it, I have experinced insomnia. When I went to bed I didn’t know how night turned out to be morning so fast only after waking up and realizing actually I only closed my eyes but remembered everything around me and I did not sleep for more than a few hours. Somehow, I felt I needed to sleep but my body was telling me I could go on. Now, prior to medication, I had a busy schedule for months and averaged about 4hrs sleep but when I went to bed, I slept all 4hrs and not woke up once a while unlike when I was on medication. Before, I would feel tired during the day due to limited sleep; with medication, my mind and body were not in synch, something I wasn’t used to and confusing. I was disorinted as my body kept telling me “no, you don’t need rest, keep going” while I badly desired to sleep and get up relaxed.

I think insomina was the thing I just don’t think I could handle but I am still going to try to see if I can get some Adipex for a month or so and see whether in a little longer term it can work or not.

Be careful and have a happy year,

    NJ

  • rhi

I used to be on adipex by Rx and it was great. Problem was i had to see my dr every stinking month. I have yet to find a cheaper way to get them even after the dr co pay and the $37 for the meds. I lost 20 pounds really fast but since have gained them back and then some.

  • C W

The diet doctor type chains will give them to you. In Georgia try Dr Smith’s weight loss program. Phone number 770-get-thin. Out of the area? I suggest you go do a bariatric physician search.

When I got my reguar Doctor to prescribe me meds so I could get them from the pharmacy, they were nearly as potent. When I got them online I did not trust they were the same medicine.

these really do work, but if you do not change your habits you will gain the weight back.

  • C W

edit to my last post…. I meant to say that the medicine from the pharmacy was NOT as potent. The pharmacy said it was the same but it wasn’t.

as far as mood swings, yes I get them. I think they might hit me harder because I fight depression. I choose to be crabby (or worse) for a few months and lose weight though. I am also a diabetic and my sugar gets better when I am dieting. I can not stick to a 1000 calorie diet without these pills.

Be aware these pills are considered speed. My heart has had moments where it races and wakes me up. I get insomnia too. my hands and feet are frEeZiNg for most of the time I have taken these (on and off for over 10 years. I stop taking them for periods to make sure I do not get addicted)

These pills are for people who really need to lose weight. I admit to my personal side effects. I have to start losing weight again and I do worry about the side effects. I am 43 now and I am heavy again. My blood pressure is a little high and I am wondering if I start taking these again if it will go up more… or if losing the weight will lower my blood pressure. Nutri system is 300.00 a month. these pills are 100.00 per month…. the pills seem the way for me.

One last note… just to say whats on my mind. I started taking these pills 10 years ago and in 3 months I lost 30 pounds… then I stopped taking them and decided to have a baby. My next baby was premature. 3 1/2 pounds. (I had toxemia) I will never know why. The O.B. says Toxemia just happens and its no ones fault, but I wanted y’all to know that after I stopped taking these pills my next pregnancy was not good. it may not be related to the diet pills at all.

  • C W

LOL, one last thing… adipex is not a fat burner. It slows your digestion down so that you do not get hungry. If you eat sugar your breath will smell like poo because the sugar is rotting the slowly digesting food. (doc told me)

when I exercise I smell a strong ammonia type odor and I do not know if it is in my nose or if my perspiration actually smells like this. But all good when trying to lose weight . LOL. Everyone’s body is different.

It does help tremendously with energy and weight loss but it is not a fat burner. I asked the doctors years ago, because I wanted something to increase my metabolism.

ok I am done this time. =)

  • Brandy

Hi! I have been on adipex for 2 weeks and have lost 12 pounds so far but with it I keep track of what I eat and keep my daily calorie intake under 1200-1500 a day. I haven’t exercised any yet but plan to with my Wii. I love it! It helps me monitor what I eat because I don’t have the cravings all the time like I did before I started taking it. I hope to lose another 30lbs so I am hoping it keeps working for me. As far as side effects I haven’t had any…so crossing my fingers that it keeps on working.

  • Melissa

Hello Everyone, Here’s my experience with adipex. I am 5′ 4 ” and weighed 220.
I have 3 children and work 2 full time jobs. No matter what diet i tried or how many times I changed my eating habits or even go to the gym I could not loose any weight.
I really don’t have time to go to the gym.
I started adipex September 15,2009 and i have 38 pounds and loven it. I have to go see a doctor once a month, to me it’s worth it. There is no doctor were I live that will prescribe adipex to you at all
I do not have any side effects at all, I don’t have a sleep pattern because of my 2 jobs, it has’nt effected my attitude or my sex drive.
My doctor also gives out water pills to take with the pill.

Phentermine which is the generic form of Adipex works excellent! I tried Adipex, I WAS HUNGRIER THAN EVER. I do mean with Phentermine, I promise you FOOD OR THE THOUGHT OF FOOD HAD ESCAPED MY VOCABULARY! I HAD TO REMIND MYSELF TO EAT! I lost mad weight! I exercised and worked out and lost 30 lbs. in about 45 days!….. THAT WAS FROM A 30 SUPPLY OF PHENTERMINE THAT WERE TAKEN A HALF A PILL A DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ONE HALF OF A PHENTERMINE TABLET WORKED TO KEEP ME FROM BEING HUNGRY ALL DAY!!!!!!!

  • Kay

I have been taking adipex on and off for about 2 years. After having a 10lb baby I could not seem to get back to my original weight. I tried working out but I would still have cravings for all the wrong foods. I went to a clinic that specializes in weight management and was prescribed the drug. After about 2 months I had lost 35lbs and was back to my original weight. I was told not to take the pill more than 3 months because of possible side effects with contin. use. Well my appetite for all the wrong foods came back after a few weeks and I gained back the 35lbs + 5lbs. I went back to the doc and he prescribed the pills and put me on a nutrition plan. Im back to my original size and have been able to keep the weight off with proper diet and walking every day. Pros of Adipex: Increased energy, appetite sup. (have to force yourself to eat), Cons: Mood swings and sometimes constipation if you dont drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Oh and insomnia if you dont take early in the morning.

Hi I am a 32 year old mother of 2. I have been overweight a great deal of my life and looking to loose weight to get back to my highschool days. I have been to several doctors seeking help on getting the gastric… I qualify but my insurance denies due to the company I work for. I decided to try adipex under the supervision of a DR along with a B-12 injection weekly and I feel Great! I have had more energy in the past week than i have had in a long time! I dont eat bad foods and i gained most of my weight after my 1st child 14 years ago and really let myself go… i went from 163 pounds at 18 years old to 482 pounds at 32 years old. I have friends that have taken these pills and the pounds just melted away with no excersise. I am very active for my size and get around better than most small women in shape. I must get this weight off of me. I am determined. I have not had any side effects on this medicine and i have purchased online before without a prescription years ago and it did make my heart race but this time no side effects. I will keep you all posted and Good luck to anyone looking to lose weight on this pill :)

  • Sally

I used Adipex for 2 months (only 1/2 the dose)with a prescription just before the 2 months ended I started having chest pain starting from my back to my front. Went to my doctor and my EKG changed from last year and heart rate changed. I lost the 15 lbs weight but was it worth it?

  • Barb

    Ask a different doctor.

  • Tracy

I have a doctor that is only working with me to get my dangerous weight off. I have lost 40 pounds with adipex and my blood pressure has gone down and stayed down considerably. this dr. believes it is safe to stay on a very low dose of meds to control weight forever just as heart patients and diabetes patients need their meds. I went off my healthy diet and stopped the meds for two weeks at Christmas and the weight started to creep back up. I knew I was eating sweets and treats and would have to work very hard to get the weight off again. For me the sweets were not worth it. I have my blood pressure and heart rate, and pulse taken every month by my dr. and I have never been healthier. I do need ambien but just a half of a pill a few nights a week if I take the adipex too late in the day. It is a stimulant and will act like coffee. Good luck

  • sarah hobbie

I took Adipex in 2008 I lost 115 pounds in 1 year 3 months on 3 months off it is a good pill but you have to work on it I walked 2 times a day you have to drink a lot of water.

  • Debra

How long have you been on Adipex? How long did it take to lose the 10 pounds? Do you excerise?

  • necole

I took adipex for about 4 months and it worked great. I did experience mood swings, and it is addictive. It just depends on what kind of person you are. If you do not have a tendency to become addicted to perscription medication I think it is an awesome way to lose weight. I lost about 35 lbs from it, but if you don’t maintain a healthy diet and exercise routine you will gain all your weight back. The medication only works for a few months and you have to go to the doctor once a month so they can weigh you. Once you stop losing weight, they stop perscribing the medication. It is a great way to lose weight fast as long as your not chemically dependent, and for the first week you will feel strange until your body adjusts to the foriegn substance.

  • Angela

I used Adipex for a month and lost 15 lbs My husband used it for a month and lost 25lbs. The meds really work! I found a weight loss clinic doctor to perscribe the meds for me. I purchase them at walgreens for $31.00. The 15lbs I lost was worth more than 30 dollars. I have kept the weight off for 7 months by keeping the sugar intake down. The only neg. side effect I experienced was dry mouth. Having dry mouth causedd me to keep my water intake up so it not bad for me. Adipex is a life saver. Just remeber there are now miracle pills. Everyone body responds differently to the meds. Some don’t have to workout most do. Find out what works for you. I plan to start back taking the meds tomorrow and I will keep you posted. Good Luck.

My best friend’s bf was taking Adipex and the side affects can be fatal, he had to stop taking them because he tried to commit suicide, it had the same side effects as if you were on crack or speed, he wouldn’t sleep for days…Be really careful when taking Adipex its not for everyone, especially if you have heart problems.

I have tried Lipodrene and it has 25mg Ephedrine so far it has worked for me I have lost 10 lbs in 1 month in taking them, according to the weight and mass chart because of my height I am 25 lbs overweight, so I rather go the slow way than having the Adipex side effects..of course there are side effects when taking Lipodrene with Ephedra but as long as you don’t abuse it. I know the feeling when being overweight but just be careful don’t go to the extreme when it can cause your life.

    :-) God Bless!

I had a horriable experince with adipex. I was on it for 7 months and it caused me to have “clinically induced phycosis”.

  • Betty

  • Misty

    Debra:
I too took Adipex and I lost over 50 pounds in about 4 1/2 months. My mom takes it and several of my friends. It is great. It gave me much needed energy. I use to love sweets but the adipex made me not want them. I always got the perscription filled with the generic at Target because the manufacturer. All day I work on my computer at my desk so I tend to snack on unhealthy stuff or I eat when I am bored. Well the thing I liked was the adipex would keep me out of that snacking mode. My husband did well with it too.

  • Misty

I have issues with paying attention and I get bored so it helped me with focus throughout the day as well. I no longer take it as my BMI is at 22 now and you have to have a BMI of 25 or more to get it from my doctor…but my performance at work was great because I was so focused and I got everything done quickly.

  • Misty

Whenever I noticed I wasn’t dropping as quickly throughout like I had, I learned to remove things in my diet that were constant…like soda and carbs.

  • ALSD

Hey! Iv been taken adipex for a year. I stopped taken it in November but just started back so I can lose a few more pounds before summer. I LOVE it!! I have to go to the doc every month so they’ll prescribe me some more. I need to find a cheaper way. It cost me $80 for the doctor and then $32 for the med! It’s worth paying it if I cant get it any other way.

  • Miss Nicole

Adipex ruined my life. Yes, I did lose weight, but my day was feeled with jitters. I couldn’t keep still and was too alert during the day, and when night came I could not fall asleep. Not to mention the dryness and gross taste iin my mouth along with dizziness and constipation. Lastly, it’s been 2 years since I’ve taken my last dose and I am unable to have an orgasm since.

  • shawna

I had taken Adipex a few years ago for a few months. The best thing I did for myself. I eat good and not late at all. Everything I did I could not lose the weight. I lost an average of 9lbs. a month, I did work out while taking this too. I told my dr. it should be prescribed as an antidepressant, it made me in a good mood. The only side affects I had were on the first night I tried but could NOT sleep and the 2nd night I only slept a few hours. Both mornings when I got up I felt great. I was monitored by my dr. at the time and my blood pressure ,& heart rate were always perfect. I would like to find a reliable place to purchase the Adipex online. Can someone help me please!!!

  • djtillman

Did you change your eating habit when you were on it, once you came off of it did you go back to the same eating habits that you had before.

  • Presley

I just started taking adipex not more than a day ago. I have already noticed a change in my appetite. So far, I’m feeling thinner and I never have an appetite. No side affects as of yet and I love the dosage.

  • Heather

I used adipex for one month with diet and exercise and I lost 25 pounds. I was so happy to finally have something that really worked. I’ve tried other diet pills and nothing ever worked, but Adipex did.

  • Gigi

I would find another doctor. My OB-GYN perscribed it to me. There are many weight lost doctors in every city.

  • Gretchen

Hello Everyone! I am a 35yr old 5’3 female that weighed 203 lbs!! I also had a 10 lb baby 12 yrs ago and gained alot of weight during pregancy and have never been able to get it off or feel like my old self. Just kept getting bigger and feeling worse monthly. I had to change for myself & my daughter.
Jan 13, 2010 I made an appointment at the Bariatric Clinc here in upstate SC and was prescribed (Phentermine 37.5mg)~generic for Adipex-P & was given a B-12 injection. I take one tablet a day and drink TONS of water. The first week I lost 9 lbs, now at wk 3 I’ve shed 17 lbs! These pills DO WORK GREAT!!! No appeitite, ENERGY THRU THE ROOF, attitude & mood is the best its been in a long time, and ladies it improves your sex drive & puts it in overdrive!
SIDE EFFECTS: Only 2. Dry mouth and the worst is INSOMNIA! I find myself never wanting to eat nor sleep. I have stayed up as long as 30hrs and had to force myself to lay down and only slept for a couple of hrs at best. I feel full of energy all the time and can clean house like I never have before! The weight is melting off of me daily.
Told my doctor about the insomnia, she fixed the problem. Prescribed me Trazodone to make me fall asleep. (you have to be ready to lay down when that window comes; if you don’t it will be like you never took a thing). The Phentermine is STRONG and works and you see results fast! After all it is Speed. I have had NO problems while taking this combination and so far I am VERY well pleased! Water is key here & a stool softner if you struggle with constipation. I have also changed my eating habits and will start walking as soon as it warms up a bit. It’s dead winter right now. Read about the medicine and talk to your doctor. I highly recommend it!

  • weight sufferer

I have been using adipex for less than 30 days now and have not exercised once yet. (Only because I wanted to see what the product can actually do). To my suprise I have lost 4.7 lbs, by only taking adipex, I mean not bad for no exercise or change in eating habits. I am going to exercise this month and count caleries to see what results I get. I want to loose 40 lbs by July!!

  • Victoria

As with any pill or weight loss aid, I would give the same advice for all. If you aren’t willing to put in the work, just don’t bother or you will have the side effects. It gives you energy, use it!!! Run, walk, bike, and see how you feel afterwards, it is absolutely euphoric ;-) It has helped me to train myself to eat very small meals, and consume the recommended amount of calories for my body type each day. Your body needs the energy from food, so please never starve yourself. I have the energy to get up in the morning and eat breakfast and I love it. Best wishes to all!

  • Tweety

I just started adipex 2 weeksa ago, I have lost 4lbs so far and lookn forward to losing more. My starting weight was 270 now im at 266! wish me luck, The side effects have been minimal, just slight headaches and unusual thirst!

  • Sa

I have been on phentermine (adipex) now for three months and have not had any adverse side effects besides insomnia, but that is taken care of now that I have asked my Dr. if I could split the pills, and since then I am able to sleep normally. It has helped me maintain the energy that I need in order for me to continue exercising, going to school, and going to work. I am 4’11″ (my doctor counts me at 5’0″ even) and weighed 176lbs when I first started adipex with my original diet and exercise plan. It helped me distinguish between hunger and thirst as my body was not responding to the chemical signals that tell you when you are hungry and when you are not/full. I have lost a little over 30lbs now and my vital signs are all within my normal range to +/- 2-3 max. That being said do not take adipex if you are drinking energy drinks as it will cause your pupils to dilate like you are high. Make sure you do eat when on the pill as it is more effective if you maintain a certain caloric range and eat 4-6 small meals a day and don’t eat after 7pm unless your body is attuned to that schedule due to work, school, etc. This also may prevent the problem of you gaining weight back after you stop taking adipex since your stomach would not have shrunk and then you are devouring a baker’s dozen of any type of food.

  • Disagree

    Presley,
You must be taking a cheap imposter. How did you get a Dr. to prescribe this (which is the only way you can get the REAL phentermine) for a year? Plus, you were not OBESE at 5’8 and 180 lbs, and this medicine is PRESCRIBED for obese people. Check your receipts – you’ve been duped!! I have been on the actual prescribed “Adipex” (Phentermine) and have lost 42 lbs in 3 months by eating the “right” foods in the “right” amount and walking 1.5 miles everyday…

  • melinda

I took adipex it worked well for me but my husband is taking it and is very ill and wants to fuss at me for everything, we are almost in diorce court, and he is not wanting to believe me when I say it`s` the adipex doing this, I am a nurse and I know a little bit about medicines

  • Krystal

Has anyone had any health problems due to Adipex? I had been prescribed phentermine before, 3 times actually, but never consecutive months. The last month that I took it I only lost maybe 10 lbs. The doctor said I should have lost more and that my body was probably too used to it already so he prescribed adipex. I took it every other day for 2 weeks (I always still felt the effects the next day). One day my nose started bleeding. My husband freaked out and made me stop taking it even though we may never know if adipex was to blame. Then 2 days later I literally thought I was gonna die. While just laying on the couch watching a movie my body gradually started getting hotter and hotter. I didn’t pay much attention to it. Then I suddenly became completely aware of my pulse throughout my entire body. It kept getting faster and faster. I felt like it was going to jump out of my chest. My body was on fire at this point. My body was tingly and numb. My mouth and tongue were numb as well. We went to the emergency room immediately. On the way there it suddenly slowed. It all lasted about 10-15 min. I have never been so scared in my life. When I got to the emergency room my blood pressure was kind of low. They had no idea what was wrong because I wasn’t showing any of the symptoms anymore. It happened again about 3 days later, but it didn’t last nearly as long. Am I alone out here, or has anyone else experienced anything like this before?

  • nicole

Just to clarify Dr. Lee perscribes 28 pills every 4 to 5 weeks and you have to weigh in every 4 to 5 weeks to get your next 28 pills. At your second and third appt. your blood pressure and weight are both checked and monitored closely. You can be on the pills for no more than 3 months and you have to be off the pills for 7 months before you can restart them. so no he doesn’t give u three months worth at one time, and you do get reqular check ups from Dr. Lee Thanks Very Much Nicole

  • Ria

Started taking Adipex a week and half ago along with getting a B12 shot. The first day, I didnt really feel like the pill was working nor did I have a boost in energy. I actually napped alot that day and didnt feel a big change in my appetite. The second day, I noticed a difference in my appetite and not feeling so sleepy when I awake in morning. I no longer have the urge to eat and snack during the day. I did end up getting real dry mouth and feeling a little wierd by Day 5 but I also wasnt drinking alot of water as recommended by my Dr. I decided to not take a pill that day and drank lots of water. I felt much better and restarted the pill on Day 6. I have been feeling much better since. I literally have to force myself to eat during the day. I pretty much eat alot of fruits, salads and yogurt during the nap. I then eat a healty meal at dinner which includes vegetables and even a roll or 2. I love carbs!! At night is when I use to be the hungry the most before starting the pill. I still havent started excerising and I think I will loose even more if I do. It is now Day 11 and I have lost 14 lbs. I am amazed and soo happy. This pill really works not sure about the B12 shot! I will still take it again though because I can use the vitamins in my system. I just hope I can keep it off after I stop taking the pills. My goal is 50 lbs. 36 to go!!

  • Ria

By the way, I wanted to add that I did feel a little moody and irritable the first day but that went away after that.

  • INDYEMT52

U don’t have to be off the pills for 7 months. I was off of them for one after the first three months and for those who get it without the prescription my doctor told me that you are really getting conned and it’s no real adipex. Also if u have energy drinks with it, that does not make you look high.

  • Cierra

How many pills did you take in a day? my goal is 60 pounds and i really am interested in this product.

  • Libbie

The reason why her body did not metabolize the alcohol, is because her metabolic rate has slowed down. This is a clear sign that she should remember to eat small meals through out the day. Adipex will convince you are not hungry, if an reasonable amount of calories are not taken in your metabolism will slow down. So. when u are not keeping your metabolism under control when you come off of the adipex anything you eat will take twice as long to burn off than it did before.

  • Brittany

omg i just started taking my adipex 6 days ago and i have been noticing a bunch of bruses on my body too, just now i found a monster bruse on my inner thy thats almos the size of my hand, i have not one idea either where they are coming from. i didnt get this untill i started taking adipex. so i looked it up online to see and i seen ur’s saying the same thing thats happening to me with the bruses and not knowing where they are coming from.

  • Brittany
