Adipex - Is it the Best Fat Burner?

Adipex is a prescription diet pill that is basically a stimulant similar to the amphetamines.  It is also known generically as Phentermine.  It works mainly as an appetite suppressant but may have some unpleasant side effects.

Adipex Ingredients

The active ingredient here is phentermine hydrochloride, otherwise known as dimethylphenylethylamine.  This is a powerful controlled substance which his known to work effectively to suppress appetite but also to cause some adverse side effects in some cases.  As some of the side effects may interfere with an exercise program, it is doubtful as to whether this is really a safe and healthy way to lose weight.

Adipex Side Effects

Possible side effects can include increased blood pressure and heart rate, chest pain, or unusual thoughts or behavior.  An overdose of Adipex could be fatal and it should not be taken with any other medications without your doctor's approval.

• Headache, dizziness, tremors
• Trouble sleeping (insomnia)
• Dry mouth or an unpleasant taste in your mouth;
• Diarrhea or constipation

Adipex Conclusion

This is not a product to be taken lightly, but given its power and unsafe nature when combined with the pre-existing diet and exercise program of a person serious about losing weight, it doesn't seem to be the ideal way to lose weight.  It is prescription and costly and unless recommended by your doctor given an extreme circumstance, I would suggest you hold off on trying Adipex.
