adipex.jpgAdipex - Is it the Best Fat Burner?

Adipex is a prescription diet pill that is basically a stimulant similar to the amphetamines.  It is also known generically as Phentermine.  It works mainly as an appetite suppressant but may have some unpleasant side effects.

Adipex Ingredients

The active ingredient here is phentermine hydrochloride, otherwise known as dimethylphenylethylamine.  This is a powerful controlled substance which his known to work effectively to suppress appetite but also to cause some adverse side effects in some cases.  As some of the side effects may interfere with an exercise program, it is doubtful as to whether this is really a safe and healthy way to lose weight.

Adipex Side Effects

Possible side effects can include increased blood pressure and heart rate, chest pain, or unusual thoughts or behavior.  An overdose of Adipex could be fatal and it should not be taken with any other medications without your doctor's approval.
  • Common, less-serious side-effects include.
  • Headache, dizziness, tremors
  • Trouble sleeping (insomnia)
  • Dry mouth or an unpleasant taste in your mouth;
  • Diarrhea or constipation

Adipex Conclusion

This is not a product to be taken lightly, but given its power and unsafe nature when combined with the pre-existing diet and exercise program of a person serious about losing weight, it doesn't seem to be the ideal way to lose weight.  It is prescription and costly and unless recommended by your doctor given an extreme circumstance, I would suggest you hold off on trying Adipex.

Wow! I have used adipex and same here, I dropped a lot of weight and would even find myself not eating or drinking for days. I even had a few times where I would be fully aware of everything around me but my vision would go black for a few minutes. tonight my sister told me about phentermine and how she lost weight and was happy with the results, so i got on the web site and just seen the comments.
I am going to talk to my doctor about the phentermine for myself.

I had a baby 11 months ago. I gained 60 lbs and it has been a struggle to get the weight off. I went to the doctor last week for stomach pains and found out that i need a hysterectomy. I would like to be closer to my ideal weight before surgery. I am on hydrocodone. Is it dangerous to mix Adipex with the hydrocodone?

adipex(phentermine) does work…but when you quit, you are likely to gain it back and it is habit forming

To all of you who are Interested in buying or trying the diet Pill Apidex (Phentermine), PLEASE READ THE LABEL, how to take. PLEASE LOOK AT THE SPELLING, all different. The real Phentermine when ordering on line without a Doctor’s perscription will NOT be the real deal. Most of the company’s who advertise this drug are not being honest about the description. If it requires you to take it twice a day it is not the real “Apidex/Pnentermine”. With the real pill it is only required to be taken once a day and if a dose is missed, Do Not Take!! I know this because I purchsed this product before and it really does work, if it’s the Real Pill. The others are cut with all kinds of stuff, and /side effects/symtoms of the normal Nervousness, Moodyness, Heart Palpatations, etc., IS ALL WORSE BY THE OTHER FAKE BRAND SOLD. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY, AND WATCH FOR THE LOW COST. I was once told by a sales rep. that the drug was the same, that is NOT true. With a Docotor’s Perscription “BONTRIL” is also Great for losing weight, but you will need a Medical Doctor’s name on-line. If you know a site where I can get the real Apidex at a low cost Please Inform me. Prices are usually $149 and up. Best of Luck to you all!!

I have been onm the adipex for over a year. The only side effects I have had was dry mouth. I lost 14.8 pounds in a month. I recommend this pill. My mom and 8 of my friends are on it as well. none of use have any side effects other then dry mouth. I would suggest starting on a weekend so that by Monday it is in your system. I was light headed the 1st time I took it but that was it. total in a year I lost 60 pounds. I follow a 1500 calorie diet and eat no more then 44 grams of fat a day. I workout, mainly walk, 30 minutes every other day. I have 3 kids and it has made a huge difference in my energy and in my life.. I highly recommend it.. I am monitored monthly by my doctor. I just wanted to let you know it worked for me!!

You go girl!! I know what you mean about energy!! I am glad you are doing so good!! I was at 280 about 3 years ago..I lost some weight but the extra 60 pounds I could not lose. The adipex helped lose that. Now I am trimming up and gee does it make a difference. I went from a size 26 to a size 10. I am a big supporter of people wanting to lose weight.. cause trust me I have been at that point. I lost 14.8 pounds the first month so u go girl!!

CAN ANYONE TELL ME OF ANY BAD SIDE EFFECTS OR ANYTHING NEGATIVE THAT THEY MAY HAVE EXPERIENCED FROM TAKING ADIPEX. I’M ABOUT TO BEGIN TAKING IT IN ABOUT A WEEK?

I HAVE NOT PERSONALLY TAKEN ADIPEX…..YET. BUT I HAVE BEEN DOING A LITTLE RESEARCH BEFORE HAND AND FROM WHAT I HAVE READ, IT IS VERY DANGEROUS TO MIX IT WITH ANYTHING, EVEN HERBAL REMEDIES.

I have been taking Apidex for 2 months now. I have lost 35 lbs. For myself, the side effects only lasted less then a wk. It’s amazing but after awhile, this will not work. The key is to change your diet and work out while you are taking this. I don’t think I need the Apidex anymore, but I have two more refills and I’m just taking it because I’m on a roll. The pill is so tiny. Occasionally, you do get dry mouth but for any diet, it’s best to drink lots of water. I take something I purchased at GNC to help with constipation. I lost weight doing Nutri-System but after a month or so I felt like I could do it on my own. I went right back to my old eating habits. This time, the Apidex has given the kick start that I needed. I keep a food journal and keep track of my calories. Everyone knows what to do, but has to want it for themselves. I am on my way and have no doubt that I will reach my goal weight. I don’t think my Doctor would have prescribed the pills if they were bad for me. Diet pills have been around for yrs. I’m a fan of Apidex and have had no problems. I am not worried about gaining the weight back because exercise has become a part of my daily routine.

I’ve been taking Adipex / Phentermine since April 8, 2009 and I have lost 75 lbs. I’m soooo happy. I can even cross my legs. I weighed 258 lbs. You need to keep losing while on this . You nneed to keep losing om this , because if you don’t your doctor will take you off of it. If he doesn’t then he’s not a very good doctor. Adipex is actually used for depression. the studies say they don’t know why it helps lose weight, but lets face it, it’s a legal speeder through your ooctor. I feel like I’ve drank 2 pots of coffee. I can’t say anything on the sleeping cause I’m on morphine and other pain meds. Yes I get shakey, but it’s just likke you hadn’t eaten anything for awhile. I’m usually very happy on this med, but when my husband gets on my nerves I could just shoot him. I LOVE THIS STUFF.

I have used apidex and it really does work, but when you stop taking it you will gain the weight back. It’s like you will have to stay on it forever to keep the weight off. And after about 3 or 4 months it doesn’t even have the same effect.

Don’t do it. It is very unsafe and can cause various heart problems. Once you stop using them you gain the weight back and then some. It is not worth it. Join a gym and get into a great exercise program. There is not quick fix. I am still struggling myself. I would rather be alive and healthy and over weight than suffering from heart problems or dead.
