Adipex Review

Do I recommend Adipex?

NO! I get THOUSANDS of emails from consumers (and manufacturers) asking me if I have ever written a positive review for a fat burner. The truth is not many fat burners are very good.

I recommend Adapexin. It contains Clinically Proven ingredients as is backed by a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Burn Fat or Your Money Back! You can read our Adapexin Review or you can order Adapexin from their Secure Server by visiting their Official Website Here!

adipex.jpgAdipex – Is it the Best Fat Burner?

Adipex is a prescription diet pill that is basically a stimulant similar to the amphetamines.  It is also known generically as Phentermine.  It works mainly as an appetite suppressant but may have some unpleasant side effects.

Adipex Ingredients

The active ingredient here is phentermine hydrochloride, otherwise known as dimethylphenylethylamine.  This is a powerful controlled substance which his known to work effectively to suppress appetite but also to cause some adverse side effects in some cases.  As some of the side effects may interfere with an exercise program, it is doubtful as to whether this is really a safe and healthy way to lose weight.

Adipex Side Effects

Possible side effects can include increased blood pressure and heart rate, chest pain, or unusual thoughts or behavior.  An overdose of Adipex could be fatal and it should not be taken with any other medications without your doctor’s approval.

  • Common, less-serious side-effects include.
  • Headache, dizziness, tremors
  • Trouble sleeping (insomnia)
  • Dry mouth or an unpleasant taste in your mouth;
  • Diarrhea or constipation

Adipex Conclusion

This is not a product to be taken lightly, but given its power and unsafe nature when combined with the pre-existing diet and exercise program of a person serious about losing weight, it doesn’t seem to be the ideal way to lose weight.  It is prescription and costly and unless recommended by your doctor given an extreme circumstance, I would suggest you hold off on trying Adipex.

Debra:
I too took Adipex and I lost over 50 pounds in about 4 1/2 months. My mom takes it and several of my friends. It is great. It gave me much needed energy. I use to love sweets but the adipex made me not want them. I always got the perscription filled with the generic at Target because the manufacturer. All day I work on my computer at my desk so I tend to snack on unhealthy stuff or I eat when I am bored. Well the thing I liked was the adipex would keep me out of that snacking mode. My husband did well with it too.

I have been using adipex for less than 30 days now and have not exercised once yet. (Only because I wanted to see what the product can actually do). To my suprise I have lost 4.7 lbs, by only taking adipex, I mean not bad for no exercise or change in eating habits. I am going to exercise this month and count caleries to see what results I get. I want to loose 40 lbs by July!!

I have used Adipex for over a year now. The first four months I lost 80lbs. I kept losing a little more, I quit taking them and gained 30lbs back. So I am again taking them, I think they are woinderful! Thats just my opinion, Mine are prescribed by a Dr. too!

Hi. I am a 28 year old housewife. I have 3 children. After I had my 3rd baby I was about 50lbs over weight. I had tried so many over the counter medicines and none of them worked. So I went out and got phentermine the generic for (adipex). It works wonderfully. I don’t exercise. I lost 60pounds in about 6 months. So far I have kept it off. I recommend it if you are really interested in losing weight. trust me IT WORKS!

i don’t believe that adipex causes mood swings…to me it is good. I can actually organize my thoughts and have an even more pleasurable mood than normal. It also surpresses your appetite.

I have issues with paying attention and I get bored so it helped me with focus throughout the day as well. I no longer take it as my BMI is at 22 now and you have to have a BMI of 25 or more to get it from my doctor…but my performance at work was great because I was so focused and I got everything done quickly.

I have a doctor that is only working with me to get my dangerous weight off. I have lost 40 pounds with adipex and my blood pressure has gone down and stayed down considerably. this dr. believes it is safe to stay on a very low dose of meds to control weight forever just as heart patients and diabetes patients need their meds. I went off my healthy diet and stopped the meds for two weeks at Christmas and the weight started to creep back up. I knew I was eating sweets and treats and would have to work very hard to get the weight off again. For me the sweets were not worth it. I have my blood pressure and heart rate, and pulse taken every month by my dr. and I have never been healthier. I do need ambien but just a half of a pill a few nights a week if I take the adipex too late in the day. It is a stimulant and will act like coffee. Good luck

I took adipex for over a year. After several months of taking it, I noticed that I became very short tempered and irritable. I lost 45 lbs on it which was great but I did notice a real attitude change. I am now taking Bontril and I have been losing weight with no side effects. I would still take adipex to lose the weight…U will lose 25 lbs the first month that your on it…but I wouldnt take it again for as long as I initially did.

I use it in for 3 months and then go off of it for 3 months and I have never had any side effects. It is the only way I can lose weight as I have hypothyroidism or an under active thyroid. Believe me I have tried everything and it is he only thing that works. And it is not exensive, you can get a 30 day prescription at Krogers for under $10.00

I have tried Adipex for 5 days between 1/1/10 and 4/1/10 after seeing its result one of my female friends experinced. She has been using it for about 4 months, I think lesser amount lately. Yes, her body transformed a lot and she credit it to Adipex alone. She wasn’t etremely overweight person but I would think she probably lost around 30-40 lbs. She said she never exercised either. Simply, she reduced her food consumption. As a result, I also wanted to get a quick result and asked her if she could have given me some. After weeks of begging her, I finally got 5 pills. I am in my early 40s, workout guy until two years ago, was in good shape but not a muscled dude or gym rat. I have gained 40 extra lb and I had no time for exercise until last week. I begun dieting and exercising thus losing 2 1/2lb in 5 days then begun using Adipex for the next 5 days. I lost another 2 1/2lb. Now, the difference I noticed was, I stopped eating. I don’t cook so I eat a lot of chips and cookies, instead. In the first couple of days, I got up in the morning and went on until 5 pm without food. Although I was at home, I did not desire to eat or even drink anything. Though, my many years of studying on nutrition and health issues, I realized it can be dangerous to follow such a path. Thus, the following 3 days, I decided to drink plenty of water and get multi vitamins, drink a glass or two skim milk besides consuming proteins from tuna and chicken and steam vegies as I did not want to lose any muscle size or have some healt issues. The best thing was something that I couldn’t avoid before. I always have had cookies with a few cups of coffee, peanut butter-jelly sandwiches at nights. I did not eat any junk food AT ALL and I had no desire.

My other positive observation was that I felt like I had flat abs and empty stomach although I did not feel hungry. When I exercised after such a long time of being away from it, I had tremendous energy, At one time, I thought, I was going to brake the cardio exercise machine at the gym because I was going at full speed that I have hardly done at my best shape.

The side effects of Adipex on me was, I am and have always been a very sexual guy, I couldn’t have erection at all even when I though I was in great mood for it regardless of how much I tried though I did still managed ejaculation. I could probably ignore it until I get into shape but after a couple days the worst side effect for me was, I am not sure if the pills worth for it, I have experinced insomnia. When I went to bed I didn’t know how night turned out to be morning so fast only after waking up and realizing actually I only closed my eyes but remembered everything around me and I did not sleep for more than a few hours. Somehow, I felt I needed to sleep but my body was telling me I could go on. Now, prior to medication, I had a busy schedule for months and averaged about 4hrs sleep but when I went to bed, I slept all 4hrs and not woke up once a while unlike when I was on medication. Before, I would feel tired during the day due to limited sleep; with medication, my mind and body were not in synch, something I wasn’t used to and confusing. I was disorinted as my body kept telling me “no, you don’t need rest, keep going” while I badly desired to sleep and get up relaxed.

I think insomina was the thing I just don’t think I could handle but I am still going to try to see if I can get some Adipex for a month or so and see whether in a little longer term it can work or not.

Be careful and have a happy year,

NJ

I used to be on adipex by Rx and it was great. Problem was i had to see my dr every stinking month. I have yet to find a cheaper way to get them even after the dr co pay and the $37 for the meds. I lost 20 pounds really fast but since have gained them back and then some.

I took adipex for about 4 months and it worked great. I did experience mood swings, and it is addictive. It just depends on what kind of person you are. If you do not have a tendency to become addicted to perscription medication I think it is an awesome way to lose weight. I lost about 35 lbs from it, but if you don’t maintain a healthy diet and exercise routine you will gain all your weight back. The medication only works for a few months and you have to go to the doctor once a month so they can weigh you. Once you stop losing weight, they stop perscribing the medication. It is a great way to lose weight fast as long as your not chemically dependent, and for the first week you will feel strange until your body adjusts to the foriegn substance.

Hi Janet,

My best friend’s bf was taking Adipex and the side affects can be fatal, he had to stop taking them because he tried to commit suicide, it had the same side effects as if you were on crack or speed, he wouldn’t sleep for days…Be really careful when taking Adipex its not for everyone, especially if you have heart problems.

I have tried Lipodrene and it has 25mg Ephedrine so far it has worked for me I have lost 10 lbs in 1 month in taking them, according to the weight and mass chart because of my height I am 25 lbs overweight, so I rather go the slow way than having the Adipex side effects..of course there are side effects when taking Lipodrene with Ephedra but as long as you don’t abuse it. I know the feeling when being overweight but just be careful don’t go to the extreme when it can cause your life.

:-) God Bless!

The diet doctor type chains will give them to you. In Georgia try Dr Smith’s weight loss program. Phone number 770-get-thin. Out of the area? I suggest you go do a bariatric physician search.

When I got my reguar Doctor to prescribe me meds so I could get them from the pharmacy, they were nearly as potent. When I got them online I did not trust they were the same medicine.

these really do work, but if you do not change your habits you will gain the weight back.

Reply

C W January 18, 2010 at 1:21 pm

edit to my last post…. I meant to say that the medicine from the pharmacy was NOT as potent. The pharmacy said it was the same but it wasn’t.

as far as mood swings, yes I get them. I think they might hit me harder because I fight depression. I choose to be crabby (or worse) for a few months and lose weight though. I am also a diabetic and my sugar gets better when I am dieting. I can not stick to a 1000 calorie diet without these pills.

Be aware these pills are considered speed. My heart has had moments where it races and wakes me up. I get insomnia too. my hands and feet are frEeZiNg for most of the time I have taken these (on and off for over 10 years. I stop taking them for periods to make sure I do not get addicted)

These pills are for people who really need to lose weight. I admit to my personal side effects. I have to start losing weight again and I do worry about the side effects. I am 43 now and I am heavy again. My blood pressure is a little high and I am wondering if I start taking these again if it will go up more… or if losing the weight will lower my blood pressure. Nutri system is 300.00 a month. these pills are 100.00 per month…. the pills seem the way for me.

One last note… just to say whats on my mind. I started taking these pills 10 years ago and in 3 months I lost 30 pounds… then I stopped taking them and decided to have a baby. My next baby was premature. 3 1/2 pounds. (I had toxemia) I will never know why. The O.B. says Toxemia just happens and its no ones fault, but I wanted y’all to know that after I stopped taking these pills my next pregnancy was not good. it may not be related to the diet pills at all.

C W January 18, 2010 at 1:29 pm

LOL, one last thing… adipex is not a fat burner. It slows your digestion down so that you do not get hungry. If you eat sugar your breath will smell like poo because the sugar is rotting the slowly digesting food. (doc told me)

when I exercise I smell a strong ammonia type odor and I do not know if it is in my nose or if my perspiration actually smells like this. But all good when trying to lose weight . LOL. Everyone’s body is different.

It does help tremendously with energy and weight loss but it is not a fat burner. I asked the doctors years ago, because I wanted something to increase my metabolism.

ok I am done this time. =)

Hi! I have been on adipex for 2 weeks and have lost 12 pounds so far but with it I keep track of what I eat and keep my daily calorie intake under 1200-1500 a day. I haven’t exercised any yet but plan to with my Wii. I love it! It helps me monitor what I eat because I don’t have the cravings all the time like I did before I started taking it. I hope to lose another 30lbs so I am hoping it keeps working for me. As far as side effects I haven’t had any…so crossing my fingers that it keeps on working.

Hello Everyone, Here’s my experience with adipex. I am 5′ 4 ” and weighed 220.
I have 3 children and work 2 full time jobs. No matter what diet i tried or how many times I changed my eating habits or even go to the gym I could not loose any weight.
I really don’t have time to go to the gym.
I started adipex September 15,2009 and i have 38 pounds and loven it. I have to go see a doctor once a month, to me it’s worth it. There is no doctor were I live that will prescribe adipex to you at all
I do not have any side effects at all, I don’t have a sleep pattern because of my 2 jobs, it has’nt effected my attitude or my sex drive.
My doctor also gives out water pills to take with the pill.
I think adipex is a wonderfull thing, I would suggest it to anyone to try, just like anything else it effects everyone different.

I exercised and worked out and lost 30 lbs. in about 45 days!….. THAT WAS FROM A 30 SUPPLY OF PHENTERMINE THAT WERE TAKEN A HALF A PILL A DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ONE HALF OF A PHENTERMINE TABLET WORKED TO KEEP ME FROM BEING HUNGRY ALL DAY!!!!!!!

I have been taking adipex on and off for about 2 years. After having a 10lb baby I could not seem to get back to my original weight. I tried working out but I would still have cravings for all the wrong foods. I went to a clinic that specializes in weight management and was prescribed the drug. After about 2 months I had lost 35lbs and was back to my original weight. I was told not to take the pill more than 3 months because of possible side effects with contin. use. Well my appetite for all the wrong foods came back after a few weeks and I gained back the 35lbs + 5lbs. I went back to the doc and he prescribed the pills and put me on a nutrition plan. Im back to my original size and have been able to keep the weight off with proper diet and walking every day. Pros of Adipex: Increased energy, appetite sup. (have to force yourself to eat), Cons: Mood swings and sometimes constipation if you dont drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Oh and insomnia if you dont take early in the morning.

Hi I am a 32 year old mother of 2. I have been overweight a great deal of my life and looking to loose weight to get back to my highschool days. I have been to several doctors seeking help on getting the gastric… I qualify but my insurance denies due to the company I work for. I decided to try adipex under the supervision of a DR along with a B-12 injection weekly and I feel Great! I have had more energy in the past week than i have had in a long time! I dont eat bad foods and i gained most of my weight after my 1st child 14 years ago and really let myself go… i went from 163 pounds at 18 years old to 482 pounds at 32 years old. I have friends that have taken these pills and the pounds just melted away with no excersise. I am very active for my size and get around better than most small women in shape. I must get this weight off of me. I am determined. I have not had any side effects on this medicine and i have purchased online before without a prescription years ago and it did make my heart race but this time no side effects. I will keep you all posted and Good luck to anyone looking to lose weight on this pill :)

I used Adipex for a month and lost 15 lbs My husband used it for a month and lost 25lbs. The meds really work! I found a weight loss clinic doctor to perscribe the meds for me. I purchase them at walgreens for $31.00. The 15lbs I lost was worth more than 30 dollars. I have kept the weight off for 7 months by keeping the sugar intake down. The only neg. side effect I experienced was dry mouth. Having dry mouth causedd me to keep my water intake up so it not bad for me. Adipex is a life saver. Just remeber there are now miracle pills. Everyone body responds differently to the meds. Some don’t have to workout most do. Find out what works for you. I plan to start back taking the meds tomorrow and I will keep you posted. Good Luck.

I had a horriable experince with adipex. I was on it for 7 months and it caused me to have “clinically induced phycosis”.

Hey! Iv been taken adipex for a year. I stopped taken it in November but just started back so I can lose a few more pounds before summer. I LOVE it!! I have to go to the doc every month so they’ll prescribe me some more. I need to find a cheaper way. It cost me $80 for the doctor and then $32 for the med! It’s worth paying it if I cant get it any other way.

Adipex ruined my life. Yes, I did lose weight, but my day was feeled with jitters. I couldn’t keep still and was too alert during the day, and when night came I could not fall asleep. Not to mention the dryness and gross taste iin my mouth along with dizziness and constipation. Lastly, it’s been 2 years since I’ve taken my last dose and I am unable to have an orgasm since.

I had taken Adipex a few years ago for a few months. The best thing I did for myself. I eat good and not late at all. Everything I did I could not lose the weight. I lost an average of 9lbs. a month, I did work out while taking this too. I told my dr. it should be prescribed as an antidepressant, it made me in a good mood. The only side affects I had were on the first night I tried but could NOT sleep and the 2nd night I only slept a few hours. Both mornings when I got up I felt great. I was monitored by my dr. at the time and my blood pressure ,& heart rate were always perfect. I would like to find a reliable place to purchase the Adipex online. Can someone help me please!!!
