The reason why her body did not metabolize the alcohol, is because her metabolic rate has slowed down. This is a clear sign that she should remember to eat small meals through out the day. Adipex will convince you are not hungry, if an reasonable amount of calories are not taken in your metabolism will slow down. So. when u are not keeping your metabolism under control when you come off of the adipex anything you eat will take twice as long to burn off than it did before.

U don't have to be off the pills for 7 months. I was off of them for one after the first three months and for those who get it without the prescription my doctor told me that you are really getting conned and it's no real adipex. Also if u have energy drinks with it, that does not make you look high.

Started taking Adipex a week and half ago along with getting a B12 shot. The first day, I didnt really feel like the pill was working nor did I have a boost in energy. I actually napped alot that day and didnt feel a big change in my appetite. The second day, I noticed a difference in my appetite and not feeling so sleepy when I awake in morning. I no longer have the urge to eat and snack during the day. I did end up getting real dry mouth and feeling a little wierd by Day 5 but I also wasnt drinking alot of water as recommended by my Dr. I decided to not take a pill that day and drank lots of water. I felt much better and restarted the pill on Day 6. I have been feeling much better since. I literally have to force myself to eat during the day. I pretty much eat alot of fruits, salads and yogurt during the nap. I then eat a healty meal at dinner which includes vegetables and even a roll or 2. I love carbs!! At night is when I use to be the hungry the most before starting the pill. I still havent started excerising and I think I will loose even more if I do. It is now Day 11 and I have lost 14 lbs. I am amazed and soo happy. This pill really works not sure about the B12 shot! I will still take it again though because I can use the vitamins in my system. I just hope I can keep it off after I stop taking the pills. My goal is 50 lbs. 36 to go!!

Just to clarify Dr. Lee perscribes 28 pills every 4 to 5 weeks and you have to weigh in every 4 to 5 weeks to get your next 28 pills. At your second and third appt. your blood pressure and weight are both checked and monitored closely. You can be on the pills for no more than 3 months and you have to be off the pills for 7 months before you can restart them. so no he doesn't give u three months worth at one time, and you do get reqular check ups from Dr. Lee Thanks Very Much Nicole

Has anyone had any health problems due to Adipex? I had been prescribed phentermine before, 3 times actually, but never consecutive months. The last month that I took it I only lost maybe 10 lbs. The doctor said I should have lost more and that my body was probably too used to it already so he prescribed adipex. I took it every other day for 2 weeks (I always still felt the effects the next day). One day my nose started bleeding. My husband freaked out and made me stop taking it even though we may never know if adipex was to blame. Then 2 days later I literally thought I was gonna die. While just laying on the couch watching a movie my body gradually started getting hotter and hotter. I didn't pay much attention to it. Then I suddenly became completely aware of my pulse throughout my entire body. It kept getting faster and faster. I felt like it was going to jump out of my chest. My body was on fire at this point. My body was tingly and numb. My mouth and tongue were numb as well. We went to the emergency room immediately. On the way there it suddenly slowed. It all lasted about 10-15 min. I have never been so scared in my life. When I got to the emergency room my blood pressure was kind of low. They had no idea what was wrong because I wasn't showing any of the symptoms anymore. It happened again about 3 days later, but it didn't last nearly as long. Am I alone out here, or has anyone else experienced anything like this before?

Presley,
You must be taking a cheap imposter. How did you get a Dr. to prescribe this (which is the only way you can get the REAL phentermine) for a year? Plus, you were not OBESE at 5'8 and 180 lbs, and this medicine is PRESCRIBED for obese people. Check your receipts - you've been duped!! I have been on the actual prescribed "Adipex" (Phentermine) and have lost 42 lbs in 3 months by eating the "right" foods in the "right" amount and walking 1.5 miles everyday...

I have been on phentermine (adipex) now for three months and have not had any adverse side effects besides insomnia, but that is taken care of now that I have asked my Dr. if I could split the pills, and since then I am able to sleep normally. It has helped me maintain the energy that I need in order for me to continue exercising, going to school, and going to work. I am 4'11" (my doctor counts me at 5'0" even) and weighed 176lbs when I first started adipex with my original diet and exercise plan. It helped me distinguish between hunger and thirst as my body was not responding to the chemical signals that tell you when you are hungry and when you are not/full. I have lost a little over 30lbs now and my vital signs are all within my normal range to +/- 2-3 max. That being said do not take adipex if you are drinking energy drinks as it will cause your pupils to dilate like you are high. Make sure you do eat when on the pill as it is more effective if you maintain a certain caloric range and eat 4-6 small meals a day and don't eat after 7pm unless your body is attuned to that schedule due to work, school, etc. This also may prevent the problem of you gaining weight back after you stop taking adipex since your stomach would not have shrunk and then you are devouring a baker's dozen of any type of food.

As with any pill or weight loss aid, I would give the same advice for all. If you aren't willing to put in the work, just don't bother or you will have the side effects. It gives you energy, use it!!! Run, walk, bike, and see how you feel afterwards, it is absolutely euphoric ;-) It has helped me to train myself to eat very small meals, and consume the recommended amount of calories for my body type each day. Your body needs the energy from food, so please never starve yourself. I have the energy to get up in the morning and eat breakfast and I love it. Best wishes to all!

I have been using adipex for less than 30 days now and have not exercised once yet. (Only because I wanted to see what the product can actually do). To my suprise I have lost 4.7 lbs, by only taking adipex, I mean not bad for no exercise or change in eating habits. I am going to exercise this month and count caleries to see what results I get. I want to loose 40 lbs by July!!

Hello Everyone! I am a 35yr old 5'3 female that weighed 203 lbs!! I also had a 10 lb baby 12 yrs ago and gained alot of weight during pregancy and have never been able to get it off or feel like my old self. Just kept getting bigger and feeling worse monthly. I had to change for myself & my daughter.
Jan 13, 2010 I made an appointment at the Bariatric Clinc here in upstate SC and was prescribed (Phentermine 37.5mg)~generic for Adipex-P & was given a B-12 injection. I take one tablet a day and drink TONS of water. The first week I lost 9 lbs, now at wk 3 I've shed 17 lbs! These pills DO WORK GREAT!!! No appeitite, ENERGY THRU THE ROOF, attitude & mood is the best its been in a long time, and ladies it improves your sex drive & puts it in overdrive!
SIDE EFFECTS: Only 2. Dry mouth and the worst is INSOMNIA! I find myself never wanting to eat nor sleep. I have stayed up as long as 30hrs and had to force myself to lay down and only slept for a couple of hrs at best. I feel full of energy all the time and can clean house like I never have before! The weight is melting off of me daily.
Told my doctor about the insomnia, she fixed the problem. Prescribed me Trazodone to make me fall asleep. (you have to be ready to lay down when that window comes; if you don't it will be like you never took a thing). The Phentermine is STRONG and works and you see results fast! After all it is Speed. I have had NO problems while taking this combination and so far I am VERY well pleased! Water is key here & a stool softner if you struggle with constipation. I have also changed my eating habits and will start walking as soon as it warms up a bit. It's dead winter right now. Read about the medicine and talk to your doctor. I highly recommend it!

Hello Everyone! I am a 35yr old 5’3 female that weighed 203 lbs!!
The first week I lost 9 lbs, now at wk 3 I’ve shed 17 lbs!
(you have to be ready to lay down when that window comes; if you don’t it will be like you never took a thing). The Phentermine is STRONG and works and you see results fast! After all it is Speed. I have had NO problems while taking this combination and so far I am VERY well pleased! Water is key here & a stool softner if you struggle with constipation.
I used adipex for one month with diet and exercise and I lost 25 pounds. I was so happy to finally have something that really worked. I've tried other diet pills and nothing ever worked, but Adipex did.

I just started taking adipex not more than a day ago. I have already noticed a change in my appetite. So far, I'm feeling thinner and I never have an appetite. No side affects as of yet and I love the dosage.

I had taken Adipex a few years ago for a few months. The best thing I did for myself. I eat good and not late at all. Everything I did I could not lose the weight. I lost an average of 9lbs. a month, I did work out while taking this too. I told my dr. it should be prescribed as an antidepressant, it made me in a good mood. The only side affects I had were on the first night I tried but could NOT sleep and the 2nd night I only slept a few hours. Both mornings when I got up I felt great. I was monitored by my dr. at the time and my blood pressure ,& heart rate were always perfect. I would like to find a reliable place to purchase the Adipex online. Can someone help me please!!!

Adipex ruined my life. Yes, I did lose weight, but my day was feeled with jitters. I couldn't keep still and was too alert during the day, and when night came I could not fall asleep. Not to mention the dryness and gross taste iin my mouth along with dizziness and constipation. Lastly, it's been 2 years since I've taken my last dose and I am unable to have an orgasm since.

Hey! Iv been taken adipex for a year. I stopped taken it in November but just started back so I can lose a few more pounds before summer. I LOVE it!! I have to go to the doc every month so they'll prescribe me some more. I need to find a cheaper way. It cost me $80 for the doctor and then $32 for the med! It's worth paying it if I cant get it any other way.

Whenever I noticed I wasn't dropping as quickly throughout like I had, I learned to remove things in my diet that were constant...like soda and carbs.

I have issues with paying attention and I get bored so it helped me with focus throughout the day as well. I no longer take it as my BMI is at 22 now and you have to have a BMI of 25 or more to get it from my doctor...but my performance at work was great because I was so focused and I got everything done quickly.

Debra:
I too took Adipex and I lost over 50 pounds in about 4 1/2 months. My mom takes it and several of my friends. It is great. It gave me much needed energy. I use to love sweets but the adipex made me not want them. I always got the perscription filled with the generic at Target because the manufacturer. All day I work on my computer at my desk so I tend to snack on unhealthy stuff or I eat when I am bored. Well the thing I liked was the adipex would keep me out of that snacking mode. My husband did well with it too.

Hi Janet,

My best friend’s bf was taking Adipex and the side affects can be fatal, he had to stop taking them because he tried to commit suicide, it had the same side effects as if you were on crack or speed, he wouldn’t sleep for days…Be really careful when taking Adipex its not for everyone, especially if you have heart problems.

I have tried Lipodrene and it has 25mg Ephedrine so far it has worked for me I have lost 10 lbs in 1 month in taking them, according to the weight and mass chart because of my height I am 25 lbs overweight, so I rather go the slow way than having the Adipex side effects..of course there are side effects when taking Lipodrene with Ephedra but as long as you don’t abuse it. I know the feeling when being overweight but just be careful don’t go to the extreme when it can cause your life.

:-) God Bless!

I have been on adipex on and off for 3 years and that is one thing I have noticed too. my doctor added a low anti depressant that also helps me fall asleep. if this starts to really be noticable you should tell your doctor.

I used Adipex for a month and lost 15 lbs My husband used it for a month and lost 25lbs. The meds really work! I found a weight loss clinic doctor to perscribe the meds for me. I purchase them at walgreens for $31.00. The 15lbs I lost was worth more than 30 dollars. I have kept the weight off for 7 months by keeping the sugar intake down. The only neg. side effect I experienced was dry mouth. Having dry mouth causedd me to keep my water intake up so it not bad for me. Adipex is a life saver. Just remeber there are now miracle pills. Everyone body responds differently to the meds. Some don't have to workout most do. Find out what works for you. I plan to start back taking the meds tomorrow and I will keep you posted. Good Luck.

I took adipex for about 4 months and it worked great. I did experience mood swings, and it is addictive. It just depends on what kind of person you are. If you do not have a tendency to become addicted to perscription medication I think it is an awesome way to lose weight. I lost about 35 lbs from it, but if you don't maintain a healthy diet and exercise routine you will gain all your weight back. The medication only works for a few months and you have to go to the doctor once a month so they can weigh you. Once you stop losing weight, they stop perscribing the medication. It is a great way to lose weight fast as long as your not chemically dependent, and for the first week you will feel strange until your body adjusts to the foriegn substance.

I have a doctor that is only working with me to get my dangerous weight off. I have lost 40 pounds with adipex and my blood pressure has gone down and stayed down considerably. this dr. believes it is safe to stay on a very low dose of meds to control weight forever just as heart patients and diabetes patients need their meds. I went off my healthy diet and stopped the meds for two weeks at Christmas and the weight started to creep back up. I knew I was eating sweets and treats and would have to work very hard to get the weight off again. For me the sweets were not worth it. I have my blood pressure and heart rate, and pulse taken every month by my dr. and I have never been healthier. I do need ambien but just a half of a pill a few nights a week if I take the adipex too late in the day. It is a stimulant and will act like coffee. Good luck

I used Adipex for 2 months (only 1/2 the dose)with a prescription just before the 2 months ended I started having chest pain starting from my back to my front. Went to my doctor and my EKG changed from last year and heart rate changed. I lost the 15 lbs weight but was it worth it?

Hi I am a 32 year old mother of 2. I have been overweight a great deal of my life and looking to loose weight to get back to my highschool days. I have been to several doctors seeking help on getting the gastric... I qualify but my insurance denies due to the company I work for. I decided to try adipex under the supervision of a DR along with a B-12 injection weekly and I feel Great! I have had more energy in the past week than i have had in a long time! I dont eat bad foods and i gained most of my weight after my 1st child 14 years ago and really let myself go... i went from 163 pounds at 18 years old to 482 pounds at 32 years old. I have friends that have taken these pills and the pounds just melted away with no excersise. I am very active for my size and get around better than most small women in shape. I must get this weight off of me. I am determined. I have not had any side effects on this medicine and i have purchased online before without a prescription years ago and it did make my heart race but this time no side effects. I will keep you all posted and Good luck to anyone looking to lose weight on this pill :)

I have been taking adipex on and off for about 2 years. After having a 10lb baby I could not seem to get back to my original weight. I tried working out but I would still have cravings for all the wrong foods. I went to a clinic that specializes in weight management and was prescribed the drug. After about 2 months I had lost 35lbs and was back to my original weight. I was told not to take the pill more than 3 months because of possible side effects with contin. use. Well my appetite for all the wrong foods came back after a few weeks and I gained back the 35lbs + 5lbs. I went back to the doc and he prescribed the pills and put me on a nutrition plan. Im back to my original size and have been able to keep the weight off with proper diet and walking every day. Pros of Adipex: Increased energy, appetite sup. (have to force yourself to eat), Cons: Mood swings and sometimes constipation if you dont drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Oh and insomnia if you dont take early in the morning.
