CapsiMaxThere are several potential benefits to using CapsiMax.  It can help you to have an increased metabolism which can improve your ability to lose weight.  When you do weight training exercises you can naturally increase your metabolism so you can have an improved ability to burn calories for up to 48 hours after completing your workout.  Using a product like CapsiMax is supposed to imitate that natural increase in metabolism helping you to burn more calories before, during, and after your workout.

Other benefits to using CapsiMax include appetite suppression and the ability to burn an extra 278 calories each day.  That doesn’t sound like a lot of calories but when you think about it, it could mean that you could lose as much as 2 pounds a week just by using this ingredient.

There are only a few ingredients that have been proven successful in numerous clinical trials.  CapsiMax has had several trials performed by different universities that they reference.  In one of the studies it is supposed to have increased thermogenesis when included in a meal more than the placebo.  That indicates that the energy expenditures following ingestion were increased more than with the placebo.

Another study also showed benefits to using CapsiMax as opposed to the placebo.  In this one they studied the effects of appetite suppression.  They say that a dramatic result was discovered when 800 mg of caffeine and 22 grams of hot pepper (with 66 mg of capsicum powders) were consumer over a 24 hour period.  When they used this combination they found that people lost 956 calories as opposed to those who didn’t use the combination of ingredients.

CapsiMax Ingredients

The CapsiMax blend that was included has caffeine, capsicum, niacin, and black pepper.  In order to be effective you have to be using it in the amounts that are recommended in the studies.  Unfortunately, when you look at the blend of these ingredients it’s hard to know if it is going to work.  

The entire blend that is included in this ingredient is only 238 mg which is significantly less than the amount of even caffeine that is needed in order to produce results like the aforementioned study.  There is the possibility that you could be getting enough capsicum powder and if you add additional caffeine maybe you can reproduce the results of the study but if not don’t expect to lose nearly 1000 calories a day.

CapsiMax Conclusion

As a fat burner ingredient CapsiMax doesn’t have as much power as we had hoped.  Their proprietary blend of ingredients isn’t going to give you the results you need but if you alter your diet maybe you can see more results.  

The thing is, though, that if you are going to buy a fat burner you want to know that it is going to produce more results than diet and exercise alone and right now CapsiMax doesn’t appear to be able to produce more results than this.  Using an ingredient with CapsiMax could help you to lose nearly an extra 300 calories a day but you probably won’t see these results.
