Metabolife Ultra (Ephedra-Free) Review

What is Metabolife Ultra?

Metabolife Ultra, at the top of the list of Metabolife’s diet products, might be assumed to be the pinnacle of the company’s efforts to produce a great diet supplement.  Though the company itself has been charged numerous times for tax fraud, advertising falsely, and ignoring the deaths of over 5 people as a result of using some of their previous products, let’s hope that they have figured out how to make a safe and effective product.

Metabolife Ultra Formula Analysis

In the company’s words – “Super CitriMax, an extract derived from the fruit Garcinia cambogia that contains hydroxycitric acid (HCA), a substance which has been clinically shown to inhibit fat production and suppress appetite.”  This is the main ingredient here, so the company is banking on it being effective…or at least on you thinking it will be effective.

My main concern, and it should concern you as well, is that HCA actually has been shown to inhibit fat production but only in lab rats.  The “clinical” studies they refer to only apply to animals and so far there is no evidence to show its effectiveness in humans.

Other ingredients include -

  • Calcium
  • Chromium
  • Sodium
  • Potassium
  • Caffeine
  • Co-enzyme Q10

Conclusion

Other than caffeine, there is nothing in this product that can be strongly tied to weight loss and with significant evidence that it will work consistently for humans.  This product ultimately appears to be an “ultra” waste of $30 plus $6 for shipping.
