What is Phenocerin?
With the diet pill market as hot as it is, you will always find products trying to take advantage of the hype but not by providing a good product. Rather, they lure people in with advertising and false promises and then enroll them in auto-ship programs. Is Phenocerin one of the good guys, the bad guys, or the really ugly ones?
Phenocerin Ingredient Analysis
Hoodia gordonii is what Phenocerin claims as its “active” ingredient. The only other ingredient listed is chromium picolinate. As for chromium, there are a number of diet products that claim it helps you lose weight, but most clinical studies fail to show it as an effective solution for weight loss or muscle growth.
Hoodia gordonii has been the most over-hyped product in recent history. The Phenocerin website cites a study done by a British Pharmaceutical company, but neglects to mention that its partner, Pfizer, dropped hoodia from their development program for being unable to safely simulate its active component. There have been no peer-reviewed clinical studies to date that show common hoodia’s effectiveness for weight loss.
Phenocerin Auto-Ship Program
If you are thinking this free trial is too good to be true - you are on the right track. Not only is it ineffective, but if you sign up for their “free trial” you will have only 14 days from the time you order it to realize it, which will not be enough time to send it back before they charge you $50 and then proceed to send you another 3 months worth for $100 more.
Phenocerin Conclusion
This is easily one of the worst products I have seen. I do not trust the “research” on hoodia and this company is clearly trying to scam you. Stay away.
Phenocerin Update
While searching the internet I came across an interesting review of a product called Metabolysin which is made by the same people that make Phenocerin. The review is pretty funny. I will be posting a Metabolyisn review shortly.
