Phentermine Review

Liporexall is WatchDog Approved!

Do I recommend Phentermine? NO! I get THOUSANDS of emails from consumers (and manufacturers) asking me if I have ever written a positive review for a fat burner. The truth is not many fat burners are very good.

I recommend Liporexall. It contains Clinically Proven ingredients as is backed by a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Burn Fat or Your Money Back! You can read our Liporexall Review or you can order Liporexall from their Secure Server by visiting their official website here!

phentermine.jpgWhat is Phentermine?

Phentermine, otherwise known as phenyl-tertiary-butylamine, is a controlled substance often prescribed as an appetite suppressant.  It is also sold under the names of Adipex, Anoxine, and Zantryl, among others.  Though approved for prescription by the FDA, there is some question as to whether this is the best way to go about losing weight.

Phentermine Chemistry

Phentermine works to suppress appetite by stimulating specific neurons in the brain that release dopamine, adrenaline, and norepinephrine.  These chemicals are commonly associated with feelings of well-being or increased mental alertness and they also simulate the signal received from your stomach to tell you that you are full.

Phentermine Side Effects

  • Insomnia
  • Increased blood pressure
  • Irritability
  • Nervousness
  • Dry mouth
  • Blurred vision
  • Heartburn/Acid reflux
  • Physical/Psychological dependence

Phentermine Conclusion

Phentermine is certainly a product backed by quite a bit of research and regulated carefully by the FDA, but it still carries some risk of significant side effects.  If you have tried most other options and still struggle with dieting, you may want to talk to your doctor to try a phentermine product, but expect close scrutiny from you doctor while using it and very high cost as it is prescription.

Before taking phentermine I weighed 218lbs and now after almost 5 months I weigh 179lbs. I probably would have lost more weight but my 2nd and 3rd month I ate fast food often because of no time to cook or pack a lunch for work due to pulling 80hrs a wk. But I would still lose about 5lbs a month eating out daily….however I do not recommend that anyone eat this way and take phentermine because you would be wasting your money. The last month a a half I have taken it more serious because I know that I will have to stop after this months supply is up. Well, doing so I have lost almost 15 more pounds. I highly recommend this prescription to others but be sure to take your lipo b12 shot atleast every 2 wks. I did not because it is hard for me to get out of work early to go to the drs office…if I did it 1 x a wk or 1 x every 2 wks then I probably would have lost 20-25lbs a month vs 5-15lbs a month. I love the energy, I don’t get hungry, it put me in a better mood, but I take half in the morning and half around 2pm…this works better for me because when I took 1 in the morning as prescribed I was bouncing off the walls and I became to irritable and very aggressive not to mention defensive…lol. Take half 2 x a day and you will love it. I am disappointed that I will have to stop because its not healthy to take it longer than 4-6 months. Let me know if you like it. Goodluck!

I took phentermine for 42 days then I am now off of it for 30 days. I am looking forward to going back on it because in that 42 days, I lost 20 lbs. I am exercising like never before in my life and enjoying it. My energy levels are great, and am not eating everything in front of me. If you use caution, and have a dr that will pay attention to you while on this, you can have awesome results. It is not a miracle pill, there is no such thing, you still have to work for the loss, but it is much easier with it. Always before I would take something, not see any results and go right back into the same rut as before. With this, I see daily results and that makes me want to work even harder to obtain my goal!! It is NOT that expensive either compared to some of these other “diet pills” out there. On average about $1.00 per pill (probably a little high there) and I take one a day. Good luck to anyone out there fighting this like me. I truly think that quitting smoking was easier than losing weight!

Kim,
I’m not going to ask you where you live. But, I live in MD and there is a doctor on the shore that gives it to me. I go see him once a month, he weighs me and checks my vitals, then gives me a 30 day supply. It costs $80.00/month, but is well worth it IMO.

I have been taking it now since June 8th. I am down about 30 lbs. My only question is I try to split the pill, but then it doesn’t seem to work as well. I start to get hungry around 5 or 6 in the evening. And the doctor of course does not want to increase it. What should I do.

Cristy.. Try taking the whole pill? I was taking 1/2 at first because it made me too jittery. But as I got used to it, went to a whole pill. I can’t get it anymore unless I want to pay serious money (I’m in California). So now I’m trying to find something that compares that is over the counter. Not sure that I will?? I love this stuff though! I lost 20 pounds in just a few months and am now weighing 125 pounds and wearing a size 5. It’s been more than 15 years since I looked so good! I have not gained it back since I stopped taking it (over 3 months ago) and I do not exercise. But I do still have to watch what i eat which is a good thing for my body anyway! NO FAST FOOD.

MY DOCTOR TOLD ME TO TRY THE HALF PILL FIRST AND IF I DONT GET HUNGRY IN THE AFTERNOON TO JUST TAKE HALF BUT I NOTICED I WOULD GET HUNGRY. SO I TOLD HER THAT MY ISSUES WERE IN THE AFTERNOON AND SHE TOLD ME TO TAKE ONE HALF IN THE MORNING AND THE OTHER HALF LIKE ABOUT 3 OR 4PM. AND IT DID HELP ME. I WOULDNT GET HUNGRY. SO TRY IT THAT WAY MAYBE IT WILL HELP U.

THE ONLY BAD THING IS THAT IF U STOP TAKING THE PILL “U WILL GAIN WEIGHT”. I STARTED TAKING IT IN OCTOBER 2008. I WAS WEIGHTING 232LBS AND IN JUNE OF 2009 I WENT AND I WAS AT 195 LBS BUT WHEN MY KIDS WERE OF SCHOOL I DIDNT GO. AND I WENT BACK ON SEPTEMBER 2009 AND I WEIGHTED 209 LBS. IVE BEEN SICK WITH THE FLU AND I HAVENT TAKEN IT. ON THAT SAME WEEK I WENT TO SEE MY DOCTOR AND I HAD LOST 3 LBS BUT I WENT TO MY REGULAR DR. TODAY AND I WEIGHT 215 LBS. SO U REALLY HAVE TO BE ON IT TO LOOSE THE WEIGHT. I HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN.. I KNOW I CAN LOOSE WEIGHT FAST..

I have lost 29 lbs but have taken it off and on since Jan. and only pays 14.99. I just got another rx but because of the health risk from taking it so long, don’t no if I should take it.

I was given the pill and was wondering, can I take half of the 37.5 to start with. I have HBP and my pill is an oval with white and blue specks. I weight 164 and want to loose weight I am only 5 feet and 3 inches and in my 50s. let me know.

When you 1st start taking the pill, the dr will start you off with 1/2 pill. Once you start to build a tolerance, it will increase to 1 pill for the same effect. However, my dr never increase the 1 per day dosage.

I lost 30lbs in 2 month with some exercise, back in 2008 -this was at a weight loss clinic :( – expensive!
Then I lost 20 in 1 1/2 months at the beginning of this year with another pill that you can get without prescription – I got it at a “beauty salon”. Then I got the same one from ebay… but it didn’t work, I was still hungry.

I have an appt with my dr this month and look forward to it. I will let you know the drs response once I ask for it….

That is a terrible thing to do to people who are working very hard to lose the weight. Leaving comments like that lets me know you are an insecure person looking to make themselves feel better so you pick on people who can’t do anything. That to me is a childish thing to do. Obviously, if you were directed to this site, you too were looking for ways to lose weight, so maybe you should look at yourself before you start calling other people names. If you act like a loser then you will be a loser….remember that.

lol obviously you were coming onto this site looking for a diet pill or else you wouldnt have even found this site….its really pathetic that you can say that to all these women who are brave enough to talk about it and try to find a solution that works for them but the utterly pathetic part is that you cant even leave a realy name. oh well its men like you that make women think they need to be a size 2 anyway and you are probably just some young idiot who thinks you are one day gonna have that “model” wife. Do everyone a favor and don’t waste your time on here if you have nothing competent to say! THANKS!!!

I was just prescribed phentermine today and was told that it is not good at all for someone with high blood pressure to take it because the pill alone raises your blood pressure. If you become nervous or very jittery your body is resisting the medication and you should STOP it immediately. It’s a great way to jump start a diet and exercise program, but the pill has not been tested enough to guarantee that you’ll lose a bunch of weight.

Hi! I just got a prescription from my family doctor. He says I can only be on it for 90 days. I weigh about 180 and my goal in three months is 140 lbs. I gained the weight from quitting smoking in September. No Frills where I live sells it for about $25.00 for 30 day supply. My doctor also says to keep calories to 2,000 a day and to exercise at least one half hour a day. So starting Jan 1, 2010, I have a few goals to set.

ABSOLUTELY RUDE!! You must still be in High school, and possibly blond. Thank god I was born with Beauty inside and out, and still have the common decency to know when not to hunt down sites with people who have obesity problems and shoot them down even more.. Your parents must be proud.

Just be sure to work out and change your eating habits while you are on the RX. It is a wonderful hlep in losing weight, but if you don’t change your diet and exercise habits to a healthy lifestyle you will gain the weight back…Fast.

i started taking phentermine last year around feb 2009 and i lost 30 lbs in about 6-8 months. i am glad it helped me take the pounds off slowly because i know the slower you lose the more apt you will keep it off. it cost me right around $30.00 a month. it gives me the boost i need to be awake but not too much too make me anxious and figgity. but i plateaued and cant seem to get any more weight to come off. held off for a few months and now i am back on it again. but i can say for the record, none of the wieght had came back on and its been i year since i started and that is a big relief! winter doesnt help with that but i am determined to lose another 20-30lbs by this october.

I have been taking it since a week before Christmas. I have lost 25 pounds so far, and I am still losing. My doctor said it wasn’t good for people who have high blood pressure to take it because it does raise your bp. I am on Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama and I only pay $10 for my prescription. I love it, it has worked great for me, but it does say that results may vary. My doctor told me to keep my calories to about 1200 a day. I count my calories and I have a “cheat day” every week. It helps me to be strict the rest of the week. I do exercise, and I do eat right, and it also helps to have support. I have felt really proud of myself for the weight that I have lost and that also helps to stick with it. If you have any questions or would like to talk, plz feel free to find me on facebook. I had someone I could talk to about what was going on and it really did help, she was kinda like a “sponsor”. Good luck to you all. :-)

I know some of you are wondering why your doctors wont give you this pill you have to be considered as obeice, and your BMI has to be at least 33 or more before they will consider it… i just started the pill and i hope it does great for all of you who take it and for myself

I used to take phentermine while working at a factory 12 hour shifts, I started out weighing 234 lbs and in one month, I lost 23 lbs, my doc couldn’t believe it and neither could I, So I can honestly say that it does work. After taking it for 3 months, the end result was 188 lbs, however when you are no longer taking it and start eating normal again, you are more apt to gain it back, so be careful.

Ive been on phentermine for 3 months and it has done squat for me. I have cut sugar and fats to a bare minimum. Im now border line of a vegetarian as eat mostly salads and. I exercise every day and the only weight loss I have is minimal and Im sure due to my exercise not the drugs.
Not a happy camper. The pills are a load of bull in my case.

I started taking phentermine at 185 pounds. I got down to 155 after taking it for about 5 months. Then I started to notice that is was no longer curbing my appetite. Eventually it completely stopped working. It has been about 3 years and I am now up to 205 which is the heaviest I have ever been. Every now and then I try it again and it still doesn’t work. It’s just a temporary fix and won’t work forever. Most people seem to end up fatter than they were to begin with.
